Right AND Wrong?
The man who tried to overthrow Moses was quoting Scripture correctly. Every word he said about God was true.
That's what makes this kind of rebellion so hard to catch. It doesn't sound like rebellion. It sounds like someone who knows their Bible, standing on a verse, reaching for a seat that was never theirs.
You can be right about God and wrong in the heart in the very same breath. And being right becomes the perfect place to hide.
So how do you tell an honest stumble from a raised fist? Why did Aaron run toward the plague instead of away from it? And how does a dead stick end up covered in ripe almonds by morning?
God answered a fight about power with the one thing nobody saw coming. Life.

Sin bishgagah, by mistake, has a provision that ends with the words it shall be forgiven them. Sin b'yad ramah, with a high hand, a raised fist, is something else entirely.
Korah was a Kohathite. He already carried the ark. His problem was never that he had nothing.
Aaron stood between the dead and the living, and the plague was stayed.
Almond is shaqed. Watching is shoqed. The budded rod is a God awake over His word while everyone sleeps.

Good morning. How in the world am I morning? It's good just for somebody to be good. I think September eleventh. Twenty-five years. Imagine that. Twenty-five years. Now when we look back at September eleventh, a lot of a lot of people out there, a lot of people that want to make big decisions for our for our world. They want to be in charge of decisions. They weren't even alive when 25 years ago. They weren't even alive. They have no skin in the game. They want to make decisions. They want to destroy this country. By the way, this is nothing has nothing to do with what the show is about today. Just needs to be said. And there are people that were very young when 9-11 happened. Now what do we say when 9-11 happened? Well, that's too vague. 9-11 didn't happen. It was caused. On that day, 25 years ago. First plane hit. I was in a tall building. And as soon as it hit, I said, This is an attack. People are like, Yeah, you're crazy. Plane just hit the building. I mean, it's a tall building. No, no, no. It's an attack. And it'll happen again. It'll work in sevens. People I was working with are what? I said, This is this is Osama bin Laden's doing. I had studied him for quite some time. Past life. And I said, get ready for a day that'll change history. Then the next plane hit. You have to know that in addition to the two planes that hit the towers, um, the plane that hit the Pentagon, and the plane that hit the ground because the people on the plane said uh hit the ground in Schwenksville, Pennsylvania. They said no. Nope. We'd rather crash into the ground than hit the Capitol and kill our leadership. 9-11 wasn't a natural disaster. It wasn't uh some just general thing. So when people talk about 9-11, a lot of times, you know, the the deaths, they were tremendous. Terrible. So many firemen and policemen.
SPEAKER_01They ran in when everybody else was running out.
SPEAKER_00We learned a lot. And by the way, if you're a person who believes for some nut job reason that planes didn't actually hit the Twin Towers, and that, you know, there was bombs planted, and Bush was behind it because he wanted to start a war, and and that no plane actually hit the Pentagon. And you're gonna look at the the little film clips that people show and they go, oh well, where's the plane? It's just insanity. And I always want to encourage people. These people have become addicted to conspiracy theories. And many of them are good people. Many of them are good people. I know many of them. And they want to believe something just insane because, well, you know, COVID. We were right about that. That's like saying you're just because you hit you got one hit out of seven at bats during a game, you're a superstar. Got one right. I'm not saying that, hey, look. I'm saying what I'm saying to you is not everything that people get spun up over is a conspiracy theory, is a conspiracy. Were there crazy things that happened and wrong things that happened on 9-11? Absolutely. There's no doubt about it. But now there is an addiction. There's whole podcasts, there's people that make a handsome living on these crazy things. And now that we have such an advanced internet, it's so wide open, it's so available, and I want it to be, you have countries that hate our guts. I don't to some degree Saudi Arabia, Russia, China. And these countries hate our guts. They hate our guts. They don't uh they don't care about you. They don't care about us at all. In fact, they hate us. And so they plant, they have bought farms and they they plant stories from a millions of pretend accounts, and they just re- they spin them. And the people sitting on social media that their hunger for the their hunger for the next conspiracy theory is voracious. Their appetite is voracious. And so they they look for them and they play right into the hands. And off we go. It's tragic. Because a lot of good people buy into things, the things about Israel, they're they're stupid. They're they're easily they're documented facts. You could be right and you could be wrong, all in the same thing. You say, well, okay, why do you say that? Well, because that's that's what this podcast is about today. Right and wrong. You'll see in a minute. Um I know exactly, you know, when when the planes hit, and I told my workmates, which they were civilians, they they didn't really know, and only the top leadership knew my background. But I said, this is the work of Osama bin Laden. And they were like, who? And I had to explain it. And then I said, there'll be more planes, there'll be more explosions. So we know that the quick action to ground all the planes all across the country. I mean, that was that was the biggest thing ever done. We were at war, we are still at war, but we just don't know it because we're comfortable. And we sent an awful lot of warriors off, and and and I will not debate the efficacy of the global war on terror. I I won't debate whether we should have gone into Iraq or we should have gone to Afghanistan first and only. Um a hundred percent. Had no business being in Iraq. Now, in fairness, I mean, in Desert Storm, Saddam Hussein attacked uh our allies, the Kuwaitis. Remember when they he, you know, it was he invaded Kuwait. I don't know what he was thinking. He hung from a noose until dead. He got what was come to him. He was an evil despot. He was a horrible person. His son's equally horrible, they got what was come to them too. But should that have been our focus for all those years? No. Hindsight's 2020, friends. Hindsight's 2020. It's easy to look back and go, oh, see how smart I am. But here's the thing. We can debate all that stuff, but we must remember where we are in history. We have to remember where we are. As some of you are aware, most of you aren't. Um I've studied Islam at a doctoral level for decades. I've read the Quran um in its primary language, its most recently uh most frequently translated language, and of course English. Four times. And I've read the undana salik, which is translated the reliance of the traveler. That is the gold standard. If you want to be a good Muslim, uh, according to the Quran, this is what you this is what you read, and this is what you do. It says what it says. Means what it means. Hoodwinked. And they're getting taken over. Europe here. People say, well, I refuse to live in fear. I f refuse to let the terrorists win. You you let the terrorists win when your eyes cloud over, and you go, I don't even like thinking about that. I don't like thinking about how President Biden let all those people in from all those nations that hate us with no vetting. Well, they said they said they vetted, but they didn't. Well, and then you say to yourself, well, why, why, why, why, why would he have done that? He loves America.
unknownCome on.
SPEAKER_00There's so many people that will say that. And and they'll say, Well, but but they love America, just like I do. No, they don't. Let that go. Let that delusion go. Because they want you to believe that. They want you to believe that Zoran Mandami, well, he's just a little, he's just a little um misguided. It's just a little misguided. They hate this country, they hate you, and they're here to destroy it. That's simple. You can read whatever you want. And I'll go on here in a second. You can read whatever you want into the signing ceremony, the declaration and signing ceremony that Zoran Mandami did, and the um uh Commissioner Tish, a Jew. Please, Commissioner Tish, a Jew. Mam Downi signed this declaration with a with a crap-eating grin on his face. See, through Takiyah, they will lie for the advancement of Islam. It's it's what they do. It is a principle of Islam. You lie. You can sign a treaty, you have no no desire to to uh to follow. You're not gonna follow that. You can do the exact opposite. And you smile and you do it. You lie for the advancement of Islam.
SPEAKER_01And you do what you want to do because we're deluded people.
SPEAKER_00And then he hands the pen to Commissioner Tisch, a Jew, and she's instructed to hand the pen to the terrorist sympathizer and defender who actually defended terrorists.
SPEAKER_01With a grin on his face as well.
SPEAKER_00And we just shake our heads and go, well, you know, it does look bad. It's bad optics, but that doesn't mean he wants to destroy. Doesn't he want a good record? No. Let that go. Let that go, will you? Just let that go. We've allowed people into our Congress who clearly hate the country and everything we stand for, and they want to destroy it. And they're in Congress already. You've got to let go of the delusion that they can't possibly want the destruction of our country. And by the way, sometimes you can be completely right and and completely wrong at the same time. It's a real it's it's a real thing. All the way back to today's passage. You can be right and you can be wrong at the same time. Nobody. Nobody wants to think nobody wants to think that there are people that are in positions of power and influence. Nobody wants to think that they want to kill us. Nobody thinks nobody wants to think that they want to destroy us and say, well, okay, today's 99-11, but isn't this a Bible? Yeah, it's a Bible study. It's an in-depth, intense Bible study. And there and there are principles that we have to understand. You know, there are people, and and the one the one guy I I I really like him. He's a follower and friend on Facebook, and he he lives in the UK. And he lost his son. And I think ever since he lost his son, he he has been sadly a very different person. Hate felt, hates Israel, hates the Jews, and cites all these things that an otherwise intelligent person would never bite on. Mind what you put in front of you and what you read and what you see. You can be completely right and completely wrong in the same sentence. I know. Sounds crazy. You've done it. I've done it. You've made an argument, and every fact in that argument was true. And underneath you knew the facts were never the point. You wanted the position, or the credit, or the last word, and you found a principle to wrap around the wanting, so nobody could argue with you without sounding like they were arguing with God. On this day, twenty-five years after, I said in the outset that this is not a natural disaster we're remembering. This is a terrorist act that killed thousands. And one day killed thousands more over the next twenty-five years, and they absolutely need to be remembered. But we also need to remember who did this to us who is deeply and patiently and fervently committed to our destruction. By the way, today to watch a man do exactly that in front of an entire nation. He was a leader. He was respected. Theology was correct. Word for word. Quoted God back to God. Ooh, don't we know somebody that does that? Ground still opened under his feet because heaven was never fooled by the doctrine he wrapped around his ambition. It's not by it's not fooled by yours either. Or by mine. Good morning, everybody. This is a solemn morning we need to remember. By the way, you know, I not for nothing. There's a lot that happened on 9-11, and as a result of 9-11, that I have very controversial um beliefs and feelings on. I won't share them here because they they are extremely controversial. They're not in the the vein of um conspiracy theories, and nothing to do with that. Some of the things we did after makes no sense. I don't see I mean it was a nice gesture, a nice thing. But I don't get it. Doesn't fit. Chat is full. Now there's if you're on if you're in the vertical, you're watching the vertical, you see the you're gonna see only the live chat of the people in the vertical. If you're in the horizontal, you'll you'll see the people from horizontal. I'm on the struggle bus today and apologize. Um yeah, this has been building, so going into a little bit of a valley physically. Appreciate your prayers. On the 27th uh of this month, I will be preaching at the Virginia Creek Campground, Virginia Creek Ministry Center. The church there. They are lovely, wonderful people. I adore them. Mr. Russell Wright and Miss Kathy. Love them. Couldn't love them more. The whole crew over there is beautiful people. If you're in the Surf City or anywhere in the Pender or Anzo County area in North Carolina, love for you to come by. 27th of September. We start promptly at 9.30. You'll want to get there probably later than 9.15. And fellowship with the people. They're lovely people. Fascinating people. If you bought my book, True Word, Faith for Life, and you'd like it signed, I'm happy to sign it for you. And if you're new here, by the way, welcome in. We're walking the whole story of the Bible in a year. Verse by verse. And we're doing it in the ancient Near Eastern world it was written in, the language, culture, and context. And today's three chapters, they go from a dead man's grave to a dead stick that grows fruit overnight. Amen, Justin. By the way, Justin, thank you for joining. I don't know if you're a subscriber, but I would love for you to be. Y'all, I can't I can't emphasize enough hitting the subscribe button on YouTube, the true word, faith for life with Dr. Sean, S-H-A-W-N, YouTube channel, the one with about 4,000, we're a small channel, 4,000 subscribers. I can't emphasize enough the importance of hitting subscribe, the little bell for all notifications, and the thumbs up. It's crazy. But welcome, welcome to all of you. These three chapters. Wow. They're world rockers. They'll rock your world. My book, True Word, Faith for Life, is for anybody tired of religious noise who wants the word of God to land in real life, hey, what's this mean? What's it really mean? Yeah, let's open the book. Quick one for the chat before we start. Is there something that you've been calling a principle that might actually be an ambition? You've called it a principle, but actually what it is is it's an ambition. You don't have to you don't have to type the whole thing. Just type yes or no to yourself first, then hold it while we read. Real quickly, uh Paz Pinas Rahim. I think you might want to listen a little bit. I don't know how much you know about my podcast. You know about me or or my what I do, but I don't think the Jews could find a better friend than me. I teach from the ancient Near Eastern language, culture, and context and context, and and we can dispute, we can dispute all kinds of things, and um I have nothing but love for the Jews. There is no no greater supporter of the Jews. I'm not misguided, I'm not any of those things. I have no antipathy. I have a great understanding of the beliefs and the practices and a great deal of respect. So if you're here and you're objective, if you're angry and you want to fight, you've come to the wrong place, I suggest you listen before you assume you hear the truth. And if you are a person Jewish or otherwise who just wants to argue, this isn't the place for you. Not everybody and everything. It's for everybody and every everything. It's not. And it's okay. We are not in a debate, Paz. We're not in a debate. It's not the place for this. And I don't know why you'd want to in this format. But you are more than welcome to contact me directly at Trueword FaithforLife.com, click on contact. We're not here to teach. That's kind of how this works. Maybe if you have a podcast, you can drop it to me, drop the link to me on uh true wordfaithforlife.com, click on contact, and as soon as I get the message, I'll check it out. But this isn't your this isn't your space to teach. This is your space to listen. And if you're not a person that can listen, not the place for you. And not the time. So I want you I want you to I want you to think about this. And I had to think about this long and hard. Is there something that you've been calling a principle? But it might actually be an ambition. Put it into the chat. Amen, Justin. The IDF isn't joining the U United States military. Please. Folks, I just talked about this at the open. There are millions and millions and millions of fake accounts from countries that hate us, that are trying to kill us, that are trying to overrun us. Let me answer this. I got to interrupt myself. I'll answer this one last question from Paz, and then if you continue, I will absolutely bump you. Question is, why do you think Jews never accepted the New Testament in Jesus? Well, first of all, you're assuming that you speak for all Jews. You don't speak for all Jews. Actually, you speak for you and you alone. Here's the fact. The fact is, in Israel right now and around the world, there are more and more Jews who are placing their face, their face toward Yeshua. And they are saying, You are the risen sun. You're the one we've waited for. Just like 9-11, and just like the people who were involved in it, they're behind the scenes trying to create destruction. Just like that, you had the power, you had the power people. Because I don't I don't say that the Jews exclusively killed Jesus. I don't say that. I say that certain Pharisees, not even all of them, the leadership, their power was being questioned. Yeshua wasn't a Jew that wandered off the path. He was observant. And he is observant even today. But here's the fact: you don't speak for all Jews. You would be shocked to know how many Jews believe in Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah. You'd be shocked. And the fact is, I'm not, I have no animus toward you. I have no animus toward people, Jews who don't believe, they just don't believe that he's the Messiah. Have no animus toward you at all. That's fine with me. You believe what you believe. I will not argue with you about it. But trust me when I tell you, you don't speak for all Jews. Now, by the way, Justin, thank you so much for posting that. Frankie 5475. I'm going to answer this last one and then we're going to rock and roll here. Hello, can I ask something? Yes, you may. Thank you very much. What are your thoughts about the IDF joining the United States military? By the way. Um, it absolutely, by the way, Jews are not calling President Trump the true Messiah. There are jobs that are doing that. That's not the case. But here's the fact the IDF is not joining the United States military. We have memorandums of understanding, joint force agreements with every country where we operate in. Israel and the United States are great, great allies, critically important to each other. Israel is critically important to the world. The fact of the matter is, you have written agreements all the time. When I was in the military, there were agreements enacted. If we were operating in a certain country as the military, United States military, to function within that environment in that country with their sovereignty, we had to have an understanding. What can we do? What do you do? What can't you do? It's very normal. That doesn't mean they're joining the military. But again, ask yourself who would plant those types of things and push them and push them and push them. They're people who want to destroy America. And they know because the internet is such a wild, wild west, they can do it freely. And people won't question where it comes from. They'll just say, I've seen this a million times, and the feed must be true. I've said a million times, you don't because something has been repeated a million times, it doesn't make it true. Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson, just because they have millions of followers, they have great influence, they don't have access to any more information than you do. And they can be liars and they can be doing things that they're doing solely to make money and to have power and to have influence. There you have it. I am right. My background, if you reach out to me through true wordfaithforlife.com, the contact, I'll explain a little of my background that will help you understand that I'm not talking out my rear. Yesterday a whole generation was sentenced to die in the wilderness. So watch the first words God speaks this morning. Chapter 15, verse 2. When you come into the land I give you, he has just told them their bodies will fall in the sand, and the next thing out of his mouth is instructions for when their children get into the land. The generation that said no was still listening when God gave the recipe for a country they would never see. Are you listening? That's mercy with a long horizon. Now, the world of the story. In the ancient Near East, who got to approach the deity and how was the most guarded line in society. Priesthood was not a career ladder, it was a boundary God Himself drew. I want you to keep that in mind because a man is about to argue the boundary shouldn't exist. And he'll use true words to do it. Chapter 15 draws a line I want you to hold. There's a full procedure for sin done in ignorance. If the community strays unintentionally, Bishkaga, by mistake, there's an offering and it shall be forgiven then. Then verse 30. But the person who acts, yadarama, with a high hand, a raised fist, that person reviles the Lord. Here are the two Hebrew pictures. Bishkaga is a stumble. Yadarama is a fist in the air. Scripture isn't sorting big sins from small ones here. It's sorting the person who falls down from the person who defies. Now most of you carry guilt for things that were stumble. You stumble, you made a mistake. And scripture has an entire provision for exactly that. And you never once let yourself use it. You just beat yourself up. Ask me how I know. Then the chapter ends with fringes. Fringes. With the thread of blue on the corners of the garment. The reason given? That you may look on it and remember the commandments and not go after your own heart, your own eyes. God sows the reminder into their clothes. Because he knows us. We don't forget his commands in a moment of theological confusion. We forget them in a moment of wanting. When the eyes go first and the heart follows. Now chapter 16. And it's one of the most frightening chapters in Torah. These aren't fringe complainers, these are established leaders. And here, here is their charge. You take too much on yourselves. All the congregation is holy, every one of them, and the Lord is among them. Why then do you lift yourselves above the assembly? Here's what makes this so dangerous. That statement is true. All the congregation is holy. God said in Himself at Sinai in Exodus 19, you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. By the way, I have many Orthodox and ultra-orthodox friends. I absolutely do. And we have polite conversations about scripture all the time. And we have polite conversations about each of our lives. They care about me and I care about them. They live a separated life on purpose. They live that life in New York City. They live that life in some of the places you would never imagine there'd be a large congregation of ultra-Orthodox Jews. And we are friends. That's the hardest kind of rebellion to spot, right? Sounds good. I'll leave you to think for just a second about who might be exhibiting that right now. Sure, it sounds good. Absolutely, it sounds good. It shows up quoting scripture. Look, it doesn't announce itself as with heresy. It doesn't say, hey, by the way, I'm a heretic. It shows up quoting scripture accurately while reaching for somebody else's position. And notice who Korah is. He's a Kotai, the clan that carried the ark on their shoulders. You remember me talking about all of these things and how important what they were doing and how it had to be covered or they'd die. He is a Kotei, the clan that carried the Ark of the Covenant on their shoulders. He already held one of the most sacred assignments in Israel. Moshe or Moses says flat out. Is it a small thing that God separated you to bring you near himself? And now you seek the priesthood too? Qural's problem was never that he had nothing. It's that he had something holy and wanted the thing next to it. Moses falls on his face, then calls a test with the censors. And he sends for Datan and Abdiam, and they won't even come. Their answer is one of the great inversions in Scripture. Is it a small thing that you brought us up out of the land, flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness? Egypt. They just called Egypt the land of milk and honey. They've stapled the promise to the slavery. The ground opens and swallows the households of Tatam and Abadam. Fire consumes the 250. And here's the part that undoes me. Every single time I read this. The very next day, the whole congregation turns on Moses and Aaron and says, You have killed the people of the Lord. The next day, a plague breaks out, and Aaron, the man they just accused of murder, runs into the middle of it with a censer, and he stood between the dead and the living, and the plague was stopped. The high priest ran toward the plague and stood in the gap for the people who blamed him for it. Breathe that in. Then chapter 17, and and watch how God finally settles it. Twelve rods, one per tribe, names on them. Aaron's for Levi, laid before the ark overnight. And in the morning, Aaron's rod had budded and brought forth buds and bloomed, blossoms, and yielded ripe almonds. All three stages at once, overnight, on a dead piece of wood. Every one of those twelve staffs was cut from a tree once. Everyone was equally dead. Nothing about Aaron's rod was any different except what God did to it. He answered a rebellion about authority by making a dead stick grow fruit. And the almond is no accident. In Hebrew, almond is shachad. And the word for watching, being awake and alert over something, is shuched. Jeremiah gets shown an almond branch. Shead. And God says, I am watching Sheched over my word to perform it. So the butting rod isn't just proof of who's chosen, it's a picture of the God who is awake over his promise while everyone sleeps. And one detail most people they read right past. God has the censors of the 250 gathered because they're holy and hammered into plating for the altar. A memorial. So for generations, every priest who walked up to that altar was looking at bronze, once carried by men who wanted his job. God took the wreckage of a rebellion and made it teach. So here's your life today. Is there something you've been calling principle that's actually envisioned? Was theologically correct. That's what should scare us. You can be right about doctrine and rotten and motive all at once. And the doctrine will happily provide the cover. And the second question: have you despised the thing you already carry because you were staring at the thing right next to it? Have you? Have you now? Have you despised the thing that you're already carrying because you were staring at that next thing? Oh, I'm gonna get this, and then I'm gonna get that. I know somebody who works in a bank and is middle-aged. And this person is a great person, wonderful human being, smart, sweet, nobody can't help but delight them. They work in a bank and they don't want to be promoted, they want to do their job with excellence until they retire. That's the reality of it. There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, that's admirable. It's attractive. To a hiring manager, that's attractive. But there are so many others that their sole objective is that next job. In any industry, any industry, you have that. In any area, you have that. Have you despised the thing you already carry? You already have. Because you're staring at the thing next to it. Ooh, I want that. I FOMO, fear of missing out. It's not even fear, it's it's an obsession. You call it ambition, that's putting it into light of a word. Could I carry the arc? And it wasn't enough for him. Some of you are standing in an assignment other people would give their lives for, and you're resenting it. Because your eyes are on somebody else's. I counseled a person who was a phenomenal musician. Phenomenal. Excellent singer, excellent musician, across the board, professionally trained. College degree in music, advanced degree in music, an exceptional, exceptional performer. But they were constantly frustrated that they weren't featured in the worship set on Sunday morning. Or that they only got a little part, little things. Constant. People would look at this person and go, man, that person is anointed. The fact of the matter, the person was resenting where they were and what they were doing because they wanted that thing over there. Happens with pastors, it happens with regular people, it happens all over the place. You are where you are, and you resent where you are because you say, I want to be over there. I want to have that. You're constantly eyeing someone else's blessings and going, ah, that's for me. Why don't I have that? Here's the concrete step for today: a test you can run in 60 seconds. Take the one thing you've been treating as self-evidently from God. The fight you keep picking. There are people here that I'm actually. I am a great ally. Chipping away. Silly. It's silly and it's sad. And that in and of itself is an ambition. They don't have a teaching position, so what they want to do is they want to come to a place where teaching is happening and they want to spend the whole time picking fights, distracting, not being respectful. Get your own podcast. Out you go. Take the one thing as self-evidently from God. The fight you keep picking, you keep your whole faith, your whole orthopraxis is built around picking fights over this and over that. It could be a picking thing, it could be a big thing, doesn't matter. Constantly, no matter where you go, picking fights. And let me tell you something. Here's a little secret. You may not know. When people see you coming, they go, ugh. Your stomach gets a little tighter. Why? Because you're incorrigible. You're recalcitrant incorrigible. You are impossible to be around. I want you to ask yourself this. You, everyone out there, live or on playback, ask yourself this. Whether you're on any of the bazillions of audio-only podcasts, Spotify, iTunes, iHeartRay, on any of those, we're on all of them. Or you're listening live or you're on the YouTube channel, wherever you're listening from, doesn't matter. I'm asking you this. Ask yourself this. If I got everything I'm asking for and somebody else got the credit, would I still want it? Would I still want it? By the way, Justin, I have bounced her. I said one more thing and you're gone. I don't tolerate that, but thank you for representing what we do here very, very well. God bless you. You did it with class. Ask yourself this, people. If I got everything I'm asking for, everything. I have the list of things. Here's my list. Man, you got a bunch of pages. That's your list. And God gives you everything, every single thing, the whole thing, the whole enchilada.
SPEAKER_01But somebody else got the credit. Ask yourself, would you still want it?
SPEAKER_00If the honest answer is no, that was never principal, that was kada. Then do the harder thing. Go be faithful in the assignment you already have today, out loud, without resentment. Now, Yeshua. And he's all over these chapters. The lady that was here, she's an angry person. She doesn't want to accept Yeshua as real and uh she wants to cling to no, no, no, that's this, it's this, and she's angry with people that believe Yeshua is the Messiah. And she'll stay angry till till she turns her heart or she dies. And that is on her, and that's for her to deal with. Yeshua is all over these chapters. Hebrews tells us, the book of Hebrews in the New Testament tells us what was kept inside the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron's rod that budded, and the table, that the uh tables of the covenant, three objects, the bread God gave when they were hungry, the law they broke, and a dead stick that came back to life to prove whom God had chosen. Every one of those is Yeshua, the bread of life, the law fulfilled. I came not to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. And the one who was cut down, laid in the dark overnight, and came out on the other side, bearing fruit that proved the Father had chosen him. And Aaron is standing between the dead and the living with a censor. That is the picture Paul completes. There's one mediator between God and men. His name. Aaron's authority was never settled by argument. Never settled by the argument. It was settled by where he was willing to stand when it cost him something. There was a better high priest coming who would run all the way into the plague of death itself. Stand in the gap for the very people driving the nails. So the choice today, and I have for you, as I do always, a challenge and a choice. The choice today, on Friday, this is when this is airing. Friday. Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. Every Monday through Friday, as long as I'm alive and able to sit behind this microphone and do this. And every Sunday at 6 30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, we do a summary and a deepening of the entire week.
SPEAKER_01The challenge and the choice today is a yes or a no.
SPEAKER_00Either you keep wrapping your wanting in a principle so nobody can question it, right? You can frame things a certain way, artfully and articulately presented.
SPEAKER_01You can say, well, this is principle. This is highly principled. This is wrapped in scripture. You can't question it.
SPEAKER_00You dare them to argue with the scripture that you've written draped all over it. Or you can let God settle the question of authority the way He always does, not by winning your argument. You guys have heard me say many times, oh, I've been in big debates. I've been in di uh I've I've uh moderated many very, very big debates.
SPEAKER_01I don't get in them. I don't. I made a conscious decision. I'm gonna let God handle that. I've never found arguing to be effective. Have you? Where are you willing to stand when it costs you something? Run the credit test before you close this. Man, what's my motive? What are my motives here? What's driving me, really? That's why I I I I can't stand the buzzwords of church. The vernacular. Drives me crazy. It's just a smokescreen. Be real.
SPEAKER_00Prayer isn't asking for an easy journey, it's asking for a strong back. Pray with me. Father, thank you. Thank you that you gave us instructions for the land to a generation that would never see it.
SPEAKER_01And that promise outlived the people who forfeited it.
SPEAKER_00We, I confess we've used true words for false reasons. I've done it. You know I've done it. You know me better than I know myself. We've quoted you while wanting position. We've called our ambition conviction and dared anybody to argue with the scripture we wrapped it in. You know our hearts. We confess we've we've despised what you already gave us, carrying holy things with resentment, because we were watching someone else's assignment. Thank you for the high priest who ran toward the plague and stood between the dead and the living people.
SPEAKER_01For people who blamed him.
SPEAKER_00And thank you for a dead branch that came out of the dark, bearing fruit. In the name of Yeshua Hamashiach, your son, and our Redeemer.
SPEAKER_01Amen. Maybe you're carrying guilt today. Maybe you're carrying guilt. Maybe that's the thing driving you. Maybe that's the thing pushing you is guilt.
SPEAKER_00And maybe maybe the guilt you're carrying when you're watching this, maybe it doesn't have a category. You did something you didn't understand at the time, and you've been paying for it in your own head for years. Scripture has an entire provision for sin done in ignorance, and it ends with these words it shall be forgiven them. And if you did shake a fist, maybe knowingly, you did it with a high hand, and you were I'm doing this. I want you to hear this. There's a man who was cut down and laid in the dark and came out bearing fruit. And he did it for exactly those people, and his name is Yeshua.
SPEAKER_01I want you to come to him now. Listen, stop fighting this. Seriously. Stop fighting this. This is enough already. Enough already. Seriously. How long are you gonna go round and round and round with this thing? I get it. It's it's hard to It's hard to let go of something that you've been hanging on to for so long.
SPEAKER_00Cause you and maybe you don't want to you don't want to um you don't want to to place your faith in Christ, even though you believe in him, you believe he's the Messiah, the long-awaited one. You believe that he was murdered, tortured and murdered, and that he was put in a borrowed grave for three days, and then he rose again, just as prophecy said. You believe it, but you're afraid to make that decision to say, uh, I am a follower of the way. You're afraid to do it. And you're afraid to do it for many reasons, but not the least of which is what's that gonna change and what's expected of me?
SPEAKER_01Are people gonna think I'm perfect? Or think that I think I'm perfect? What am I gonna have to stop doing? If I become a follower of the way, what do I have to stop doing? What do I have to change? What do I have to give up? What do I have to learn? Who do I have to give up? What do I have to sacrifice? I want you to pray this with me. Let all of that go today. Your eternity. It's the most important decision you'll ever make in your life. All of your life.
SPEAKER_00I want you to pray this with me. Father, I need you. Yeshua, I need you. I believe you died for me and rose from the grave. And I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me of my sins, my hurts, my habits, my hang-ups. Fill me.
SPEAKER_01Lead me. I am yours. In your matchless name. Yeshua. Amen. If you prayed that today, tell somebody. Tell somebody. You may tell them and they may not respond well. They may go, mm, okay. Okay. Or they may rebut you No, you They know you, right? They know you. They know you when. They knew your snotty nose and your stinky butt. Maybe they were with you and some of those hurts, habits, and hangups leaked out. And they said, I no way in this world. Not this one. Just smile.
SPEAKER_00Don't argue with them. Just smile and say, When I place my faith in Christ, I I wanted to tell somebody. And your image popped into my head. And I just wanted to tell you. Have a great day. God bless you. You don't have to know all the theology either. I'll help you. I'll help you. It's free. I've got a whole resource for you. True WordFaith for Life.com is an unreal resource. By the way, not for nothing. I have over 5,000 videos. Huh? Over 5,000 on True Word Faith for Life with Dr. Sean YouTube channel. We have more videos than we have followers. We only have about 4,000 followers. We've got over 5,000 videos. Some are short, some are 23 seconds long.
SPEAKER_01And some are two and a half hours long. What I'm telling you is today, tell somebody, tell me.
SPEAKER_00I've already said a million times how to contact me. TrueWordfaithforLife.com. Contact. You can even leave me a voicemail. There's a little thing on the right. Boop. You got two minutes. It's your two minutes. It won't cost you anything. We don't datamine. We don't do any of those things. Soon as I receive the message, I will absolutely reach out to you. Countless number of people know it's true because it happens all the time. Twelve dead sticks in the dark, and one of them woke up covered in almonds. God has never once answered a rebellion the way we expect. He could have opened the ground again. He'd already done it. Precedent was set.
SPEAKER_01Instead, he settled the fight with life.
SPEAKER_00If I could offer you anything, go be faithful in the assignment you already have. You say, I don't know what that is. Be kind to someone. Be kind to the people whose path you cross today. You claim to be a Christian. And you're rude to everybody. You're disrespectful. That's the little bits, little things. You say, I'm just a cranky person. No. Let God change you.
SPEAKER_01Let Him change your disposition. Be kind to people. Be generous. Be the light. Capital L. Be the one who's awake. Over his word. Never once. Never once. Yeshua. Never once. He never once fell asleep. He never once didn't care about you.
SPEAKER_00Nobody goes to the torture for hours and hours and hours, almost tortured to death, and then is tortured to death on a cross. Nobody does that except for Yeshua. Listen, if somebody you know, and it happened here, it happened here. By the way, I have to commend you, Justin, for your knowledge and the kindness with which you dealt with her. If somebody you know is defending a position they secretly can't let go of, send them this. I understand. Weird episode. 9-11. This was recorded live on 9-11, 25th anniversary. I get it. There was some preamble there that you think, oh, maybe that doesn't fit here. Well, it does. Now that you're at the end, you see the tether.
SPEAKER_01Send them this episode. And that little question, ask them. Now, as we go into Shabbat, this is my Shabbat.
SPEAKER_00Um, it's the Shabbat of the Jews at the close of the day today, until Saturday in the evening. I want you to receive this in his heavenly name. And in Lashon Hakadesh, which is Hebrew for the language of God, because Hebrew is the language of God. And listen, we can quibble with my pronunciation. It's not my first language. I also have paralysis and all of that. So it's it affects. Amen, Anita. Hey, it's Anita 192 says, Jesus loves you. Amen. Amen. By the way, thank you to you all. You were so patient. Thank you for being great listeners. And Margaret, by the way, um, I'm so happy to have you here in the live chat. What a pleasure.
SPEAKER_01And Frankie 5475, thank you very much. I'm happy to have a reach out to any of you, all of you, by the way, all of you.
SPEAKER_00True WordFaithforlife.com. And if you have my personal contact, contact me.
SPEAKER_01We'll chat. Why why do I pray this blessing at the end? Why do I do it every time? Why do I do it in Hebrew and then translate it to English? Because when Yeshua was ascending to heaven to be at the right hand of the Father, he was praying this with raised hands over his people. Over five hundred, over five hundred people heard it, they saw it.
SPEAKER_00And history tells us that only about 125 actually followed him. They saw it, they saw it all. Many who saw the miracles of Christ ended up not following him.
SPEAKER_01And of those people, when he was ascending, with his arms outstretched over them, prayed this prayer. And this is why I prayed over you. I am nobody special. I am quite the opposite. If you're ready, I want you to hear it now. Receive it in his heavenly name.
SPEAKER_00May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Until Sunday at 6 30 p.m.
SPEAKER_01Eastern Standard Time, where we wrap up this entire week. Until then, Shalom Bishem Yeshua.
