Mercy With a Clock On It
There's a difference between a deadline you find out about after it's passed, and one somebody hands you in advance, on purpose, because they want you ready.
God could've just sent the final plague on Egypt with no warning at all. He already knew Pharaoh wasn't going to yield. He announced it anyway. Out loud. In advance. Midnight, He said. This is exactly what's coming, and exactly when.
That announcement wasn't a threat. It was mercy with a clock on it.
You've got one of those too. Something's coming. The only question is whether you'll be ready when it does, or whether you'll do what Pharaoh did and convince yourself it won't really come for you.

There's a difference between a deadline you find out about after it's passed and when somebody hands you in advance on purpose because they want you to be ready. God could have just sent the final plague on Egypt with no warning at all. Could have done that. He already knew Pharaoh wasn't gonna yield. He said so to Moses already. He announced it. Anyway. Out loud. In advance. Midnight, he said. That's exactly when it's coming. And exactly when. That announcement wasn't a threat. It was mercy with block one. You've got one of those right now. Too. You've got one of those right now. Something's coming. Only question is whether you'll be ready when it does. Good morning. Shalom and welcome to True Word, Faith for Life with Dr. Sean. As you might have guessed, I am Dr. Sean. Day 64. Exodus 11. I know some of you listening now, I can see in the live chat, some of you have been here for every single of those 64 episodes. Good morning, Susan. Good morning, Nicole. Good morning, Robbie. Good morning, all. Even those who haven't clicked into the chat. I know there's a bunch of people that click in the chat. By the way, we've now up to we've lost 238 subscribers. Three, four, since Sunday. Yeah. You say stuff people don't like to hear, then. Oh, I don't want to hear that. They don't want to learn a lot of times. People don't want to learn. I'm in that group, too. It's a resistance, confirmation, bias. I do a whole teaching on it. It's all free. True word, faith, for life with Dr. Sean. S-H-A-W-N. Day 64, Exodus 11. How's the sound? We're standing at the hinge of the whole story. There's nine plagues behind us. The 10th has been announced. Passover is one chapter away. My book, uh True Word Faith for Life. I know that's hard to remember. True Word Faith for Life, it's available now. The links are in the show description and at TrueWordfaithforLife.com store. Yada yada. Get a copy for yourself. Get a copy for somebody else who needs to hear this before their own midnight comes. So here's today's question because you all have places to be and great things to do. Are you ready for? Are you ready for when midnight comes? Because it's coming. You can take it lightly if you want. But I don't advise against it. Take it for me, taking that question lightly as consequent. Are you ready? Okay, here we go. Thank you for the sound. Uh clarity. My soundboard went out. I don't know why. It's a software problem. Anyway, I don't maybe it doesn't like the update or something. I don't know. Always something, isn't it? God tells Moses plainly. He doesn't mince word. One more plague, and after this one, Pharaoh will let you go. And he'll drive you out completely. And something unexpected. God tells Israel to ask their Egyptian neighbors for silver and gold. And the Lord made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward his people. Moses himself was highly regarded throughout Egypt by now, by officials and ordinary people alike. Moses knew the room he was in, no matter what kind of room it was. That was one thing, you know, he had a lot of experience dealing with high-fluting folks, you know, because he were one. But he floated down that Nile River. Got picked up by some folks that were of some royalty. He learned. He also knows what it's like to be an ordinary person. Work hard. Carry a heavy load. Moses himself. He knew how to be and to behave. Sometimes we don't. I've been guilty of that. I've been guilty of that. I've been guilty of not adapting to the room. Not understanding the power and the importance of the place that I was in. And then what happened? You end up. I don't know. You end up jacking things up. At least I did anyway. Not representing yourself as well as you could. As well as you wanted to.
unknownI don't know.
SPEAKER_00Good morning, Tammy. Good morning. Sorry about all this fuss. I'd some stuff I adjusted wrong. I'm just now realizing. It was a long night. Wasn't my easiest night. It ain't about me, but oof. Midnight comes. Comes for us all. That's reality, and we try to run from it. We can't. We cannot run from the reality. The midnight's come and some of us won't make it to midnight. Our midnight comes at six in the afternoon or seven oh eight Eastern Standard Time in the morning. So they asked for the gold and the silver. You wouldn't even think to do that. I wouldn't think to do it. What about you? Not an advertisement for this drink that I just took. I'm just thirsty. I don't have any. I don't have any such brand deals. I I just want you to imagine this. I don't want you to run off and miss what I just said, what the scripture said. God says, go tell them you'd like some of their, not rob them, you're not robbing them. Just ask them. Hey, y'all, could could we get a little, could we hold some of that silver and gold? And the Lord made the Egyptians favorably disposed toward his people. Why might that be? Well, some of it could be, obviously the leading of the Lord, all of it was, but some of it could be that Moses, Moshe, did the right thing, behaved the right way, treated their neighbors correctly. Supposed to be a believer, but if you don't treat your neighbors kindly or respectfully or just peaceably, how do you expect them to be towards you? And how do you expect them to be toward God? You know, they know you're a believer, do they? I don't know. I have an episode coming up next week. Beat my brain writing these episodes, and I'm trying not to rewrite episodes because I'm it's killing time-wise. I'm I was spending. Anyway, I won't go into how long, but yeah, a lot. But then I was rewriting. You know, because it was exactly like I wanted. I was doing the same thing Dr. Frazier said, don't do when I was in school, both in undergrad, grad, and postgrad. And it was this thing. I said, well, if I'm doing this for God, then it's gotta be perfect. I gotta, I gotta do the very best I can. So I would, I would write and write and write and write and read and research and all these different things. I have a million. By the way, you can see all the research that I've done. Let's see, he does don't have any other gods beside me. Moonday, Tuesday. Oh, good lands. Come on, man. Are you uh are you a one-issue believer? I mean, well, the the naming of the days of the week? I don't know. I mean, does it violate it for you? This person in chat. Welcome, by the way. I've never seen you in chat before. Soggy biscuit. It's an interesting interesting net. Does this violate don't have any other gods beside me? Moonday, Tuesday, Odin's Day, Thor's Day. Yeah, I get where you're coming from. I get your lane. Here and now is not the place to discuss it. Might want to listen, because you might enjoy what you're hearing. If you listen. If you don't, well, it won't be as enjoyable to you. But I hope you do. I guess my point in all that is, you know, I was on this bent of I have to do it perfect. Every paper, every dissertation, every thesis, everything has to be perfect. And I was killing myself. This is some of it before, you know, I got hurt. And I just was driven that way. And it and it in my heart of hearts, I can tell you, it wasn't about that I wanted to get an A so I could stand up there and go, mm-hmm, yeah, straight A all the way through. You're welcome. You know what I mean? Wasn't that. I just felt this huge obligation to finally, finally actually work to potential. Instead of, well, I believe got a lot of potential, but you know what I'm saying? Any of you ever have been there? A massive underachiever, I'll tell you I am. Anyway. To my surprise, every time I've read it, these people, the neighbors, the Egyptian neighbors, eh? They were amenable to giving them silver and gold, just giving it to them. And saying, hey, how about you let us hold a couple of lambs and some sheep and whatnot? Y'all have proven real good at raising up your lambs and your sheep, your livestock, and well, we lost ours. Right next to y'all, we lost everything. I don't know if they ended up giving them some out of the script. The scripture doesn't speak to this, but the text is relatively silent on this at this point. I started to say a second ago, next week I've got on that. Went through that fence. Fence gate. But it is related, I assure you. Well, next week I'm I'm doing a message that has so deeply rattled me, I have rewritten it probably four times. The whole thing. I'm the bane of my own existence. But why? Why did I keep rewriting it? I kept rewriting it because of this episode. You'll see. Next week, Monday through Friday, if the Lord tarries and if I'm still here. You'll see. You'll know which one. By the way, Sunday at 6.30, we do a summation and deepening of these episodes. Stuff we couldn't get to because of time limitations. I'd love for you to join me. Sunday at 6 30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Every Sunday we try to. Then Moses delivers the announcement to Pharaoh himself. The Lord will go through Egypt. Every firstborn will die. From Pharaoh's own son on the throne to the lowest servant's child grinding grain by hand. Every firstborn of the livestock, too. There will be loud wailing in every house in Egypt. But among the Israelites, Moses says, not even a dog will bark. So you'll know the Lord makes a real distinction between Egypt and Israel. Folks that are falling for this devil's game of anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment because they believe all the wacky crap that influencers, demonic influencers, severely misinformed influencers don't. Don't make yourself Egypt. Scripture is clear. Well, that's not the same Israel, and they're not the same Jews, and they're not actually Jews, the people. And Benjamin Netanyahu, he's not even Jewish.
unknownOh, you've heard all.
SPEAKER_00I've heard every one of the stupid claims. They're completely misinformed. It's completely untrue. And it's done on purpose. And it has demonic origin. Isn't it interesting that sweeping the land is on our 250th birthday, which I'll celebrate tomorrow proudly? You can do what you want to do. That's the thing about this country. You don't have to. Don't nobody make you. Don't nobody make you march in a parade. Or even go. And sit in your house, little coffee shop, drink your $7 or $8 or $12 drink and complain about America while holding your your $1,800 iPhone. Open up your laptop, your $2,800 or $3,200 laptop. Complain about America. Socialism, communism, all of that. Why do you think it is that it has it has received the welcome that it has among the educated white folk? Why do you think the link between Islam? Why why is Islam? You say, Dr. Sean, what's this got to do with this? You running through a you're running through a backyard into a field, down in through the woods and through the stream, and you've done lost. No, no, no. This is completely wrong. Don't be Egypt. Islam will use any advantage it can. To draw. To cause discord. They don't care that it's all lying. Takiah, lying for the advancement of Islam. Useful idiots. Don't be Egypt. Moses leaves Pharaoh's presence hot with anger. And the chapter closes with God's own summary of everything that happened. Pharaoh wouldn't listen so that the wonders would be multiplied. Pharaoh would not listen so that the wonders would be multiplied. Three things in this short chapter carry more weight than its length suggests. First, the announcement itself. God didn't need to warn anybody. God has no obligation, moral or otherwise, to warn us. None. We've gotten all the warnings that we should ever get. I had all the warnings that I should ever get. He had no obligation to warn me. He's got no obligation to warn you. He's got no obligation to warn all these crazy people going up against Israel and Jewish people worldwide. Most especially in this, it's degrading and embarrassing. God will have the last word. Trust me. God didn't need to warn anybody. He already knew the outcome. He already told Moses Pharaoh wouldn't listen. He says he's not going to listen. He announced it anyway. Gave him another chance out loud with a specific time attached. You look on the thumbnail if you're not listening to audio only on playback. One minute before midnight, are you ready? You tell me. TikTok. TikTok, Cinderella. He announced it anyway. You put a time on it, not a vague time. Oh, in between so and so and such and such. These people that say that they have a prophetic word for you. They're going to share a prophetic word. The Lord gave me, and they say that. Write it down what they say. And if what they say doesn't turn out one time, they got no word from God. They got a mental thing where they want to be relevant. They let whipped up emotionalism, or they let knowing that clicks will come when you say stupid stuff. One time, you're wrong one time. You are almost absolutely not prophetic in any way. Well, I may have misread that. Well, was part of this was right. Any part of it is wrong. It's a lie. Move on. God already told Moses. I miss Cohen. Good morning. He already told Moses Pharaoh wouldn't listen. As with us, he gave us another chance. He gave them a chance. Again and again and again. Gives us time. Hey, here it comes. Come on. Because the warning wasn't for Pharaoh's benefit alone, it was for Israel. Israel, so they'd have time to get prepared. It was a practical thing. Oh. 4309. Man, let me tell you what, young lady. All those people will be shocked to learn when Jesus, Yeshua, returns that he is a Jewish rabbi. Yeah, is. You use the absolute right. I'm down with that. He is a Jewish rabbi. Who, by the way, still observes all of all of the feasts, all of the covenant. He is an observant Jew. That's who our Savior is. I want you to think about it. This I would look, I was going to do um my secular PhD. Originally, I was going to do, which I don't mention because it's worth it. I was going to do my PhD dissertation on the Holocaust, how it happened, why it happened, what was behind it, how, how, how? Because it my whole childhood, you know, I was five years old reading about the Holocaust. I was a weird kid. Um, and I just didn't, I couldn't wrap my hands around, and I couldn't wrap my mind around. And I said, when I was little, I said, why aren't they teaching us? Why aren't they teaching us this in school about this? Why? And my mom was like, Wow, you're in kindergarten. So they're doing their ABCs, you know, but I was this weird kid. Used to really be embarrassed of that, but I'm not anymore. I used to hide it. You know, I wanted to write on it. And then I I and I pivoted to just war, just war theology. And I said, okay, let me write on this. What is just war, both in a secular and a theological way? And it was a secular PhD. It wasn't, you know, in in divinity school. So I changed my mind on those because so many people have written on that. There was, to me, no real new re you know, no real research that to me I could present. I mean, I had my bent on it, but I didn't have anything that was earth shadow. But in all that, I I I began to realize how how much I had minimized God. How about you? Look back on your own life. I don't know how to say that. Rick is a Sleeze 4309. I'm so sorry that I'm I'm masquering that. Contact me through um TrueWordfaith for Life.com, true WordFaithforLife.com slash contact. There's a button up in the top, there's a voicemail thing on the side. It's all free. I don't capture anything. I don't know how to do it. I wouldn't do it if I could. Um and and leave me a message. I'd love to know how you learned of how do you learn, how do you just come across this podcast? Because it's different, it's weird. But you know, during all of that research, which I eventually wrote my PhD dissertation anyway, another time. Mediocrity, the vein of mastery in American. Some folks are gonna be awfully surprised. They're gonna be so surprised and terrified to find out all those worship songs all about Jesus, and I'm so broken and I'm so hurt. You know, all of that, everything, all about your own personal hurt, your own personal brokenness. I get it, I get it, but that's me, me, me. When they find out that Jesus, Yeshua, first of all, not his name, Jesus, not his name, Yeshua is his name, Yeshua, depending on how you're addressing Yeshua or Yeshua, Hamashiach, our Redeemer, our Messiah. When when when the trumpet sounds, they're gonna be awfully surprised to find out, just as our new listener has specified. You're gonna be awfully surprised, folks. Folks, folks that are anti-Jew, you're gonna be awfully surprised, and you're gonna be awfully terrified. Fair warning, midnight is coming. When God presses the the off button, people have said, You were supposed to die at 47 years old. And then again at 50. Do y'all remember? I know, Susan, you're listening. Um, and I think Linda's listening. Y'all were in the room, and God bless um Wes. Wes was there, he has gone on to his reward. Uh I don't know if they have Harley's in heaven, but you you'll be riding one if you do. And and Don, who has also gone on to his reward, and and the fields, uh, Dr. Bonnie and and Steve and um Gloria and so many others, there was a whole bunch of people in the room. I was physically unable to travel, and I hated to do it. And everybody had to come to my house, which was a three-story townhouse, and what I could be on the second floor, because if I'm going upstairs, I'm going upstairs once. We have a picture of it. My 50th birthday, they did a little surprise party for me. And I remember the doctors all said originally 47, then 50. People say, Well, you've been told that so many times. I remember my buddy says it all the time, don't listen to the doctors, they're wrong all the time. I get that, I get that, but you know, it's I'm not saying I'm a miracle. Maybe I am, and I'm not saying I'm worth saving, because I'm not. But I don't get it. I don't get why God has moved the hand. But maybe this is my midnight was one minute before midnight many, many times. 617 and 59 seconds. April 12th, 2012. I don't remember much, but I remember that. TikTok and my body shut off. They marked me fatal, and they walked away. And at some point I came back. I don't know when, don't know why. I say this to implore you. First of all, if you're in that group that's running down Jews and running down, you know, you're make you're you're believing stuff from people who are so demonically possessed. Yes, they have millions of followers. Yes, they have influence. So did Hitler. Oh, you're comparing Hitler. Yeah. I'm comparing him to Hitler, I'm comparing her to Hitler. I've done episodes on why I no longer can support Tucker Carlson and why I can no longer support Candace Owens. They're they're two of seven. So be it. Imagine Charlie Kirk if he was here right now. 250th celebration. He'd be out in that 108th degrees with his freedom shirt on. He'd probably do a uh a speaking thing. He'd have his family with him. He would so enjoy the he's in heaven. I have no doubt about that, but it's easy to lie on somebody, tell somebody. Say that somebody believed something. We have the video, we have the letter, we have the book. Easy to lie on. Say somebody said something or believed something when they're gone. They can't. They can't clarify. We have enough to know. Listen, this this warning that God gave, it's it wasn't just for Pharaoh people. Read it wrong. It wasn't just for Phala Pharaoh people. It wasn't, it wasn't. Israel, God warns us so we have time to prepare, to get the blood on the door, to eat standing up with their sandals already on, ready to walk out the moment the word came, and it's for every generation reading this passage since. And if you don't read the Old Testament and understand the ancient Near Eastern language, culture, and context, you will miss it. God gave us this so we'd understand something that holds true every time. God never sends judgment silently, He always sends word first. And he sends it with enough time attached to it to actually do something about it. Second, silver and gold. Oh, don't miss this. Come on, people. I know I'm over time, I'm sorry. Next week I'll do better. I promise. Sundays isn't gonna be super short. I'm just warning you, they never are. I am committed to get this thing down to 20-ish minutes. Silver and gold. Israel was walking out of 400. Please don't miss this. Good lands don't miss this. Four hundred years of unpaid labor, generations of work that had built Egypt's wealth and never once been repaid. Not one time. Don't tell me about Israel. Oh, they're, you know, they're they weren't the original people. Really? Palestine had never been a nation called Palestine, despite what the influencers and the weird internet trolls will tell you. Nope. The people, the Israelite people have occupied, Jews have occupied that land long before, and much more land than the folks that are perverting it now. The folks that claim perpetual aggrievement, yet every good thing that's ever done for them by Israel. It's the most moral military in the world. In the world's existence. There's never been a more moral, careful. You say, well, it's disproportionate what's happened in Gaza and blah blah blah. I'm tired of hearing it. Tired of hearing it. They had every reason to bomb them to glass. With all the all the innocent people, really, the hundreds of thousands of people cheering in an orgasmic fervor. On October 7th, oh, we put babies in ovens, Jew babies in ovens, and we raped Jew women. And we and we made their husbands watch, their children watch while we raped the raped their mamas. We watched them, we made them watch when we put them in ovens, the little babies in ovens, alive. You say, well, that's made up. That's propaganda. We have video of it. You know, the little cameras they had on them when they were doing all this. Oh, setting fire, burning the burning the place with the people in it. I don't want to hear it. I'm tired of hearing that mess. Stop believing the crap. Never again is now. Four hundred years of unpaid labor. You can look in Egypt and see what they did. Still today. It built Egypt's wealth far greater than it ever was before. And never once, never once did Israel go to Egypt and say, hey, you know what? You know what we would like? We would like to be repaid. How about that? No, they said, we'll make our own way. We have God. We'll make our own way. Why do you think there is such a big wall in between Gaza and why this area, you know, it's really Israel. But they gave it to him. They said, well, we'll give you peace if we do it. They've never kept a treaty. That's why I get why President Trump is doing what he's doing with Iran. The the uh the Republican guard, I get it, the IRGC. I get it. I get why he's doing it. Because he doesn't want to have to have a bunch of people die. The Persian people, by and large, are victims. Not of the U.S. They're victims of the IRGC because they're the final caliphate, except for their billionaires. All the leaders billionaires. Until they found out we could reach out and touch them in Israel. Uh Mossad could reach out and touch them. They thought they were untouchable. They never send, they don't ever put the suicide vest on. They only send some other, some other putts. They get all fired up. You say, what does that have to do with any of this? Because Egypt built a giant wall, a giant border, an impenetrable border to keep who out. To keep Hamas and the people of Gaza and the West Bank out. They don't want them in. They destroy everything they tie. They say, hey, we don't want any part of it. Think about what that actually looked like on the ground, by the way. Go back to that. Go back to Egypt. Go back to where folks are packing up stuff. They got their sandals on, they're eating, standing up. Go back, put your mind where that is. Grandparents who mixed mortar until their hands gave out, their bodies bled. Many died. Parents who buried children born into a house that was never there, working on a debt that was never going to close on its own. Because Egypt had no intention of ever closing it. We will use you until you're dead. Every one of them died, still owed. What they carried out wasn't theft, no matter how it might read on the surface. Are you getting it now? Are you getting the tie? I said earlier, the silver and gold. God says ask your neighbors for silver and gold. And I said how flummoxed I was. Are you kidding me? And they gave it. This is why. No matter how it read on the surface, it was restitution four centuries overdue. And God Himself moved to collect it on their behalf because nobody else was ever going. He arranged the Egyptians' own hearts to hand it over willingly, without a single sword drawn. No sword was drawn to make them do it, without Israel having to demand a cent of what they were owed. Then no, no, no, no. Just ask the neighbor, the people that live next to them. God doesn't just forgive debts. Oh, catch on to this, don't miss it. Sometimes he collects them on behalf of people who gave up expecting payment generations before it ever came. He didn't hand it to them just to survive in the wilderness. He handed it to them to build a future with gold and silver, walking straight out of slavery into the foundation of everything that came next. And I'm going to share this with you, whether it shocks you or disgust you or not, everything that we are is because of that. Oh, you're a Christian, but you don't believe in Jews. Guess what? That's who we came from. Oh, we didn't leave them behind. The church is not a replacement for the covenant. Don't believe that. Some of my dear friends, some of my dearest friends believe it. We can still get along. We still get along. I still love them. They believe a lie. It's theologically untrue. And if you understand the ancient Near Eastern language, culture, and context, it is painfully clear to you. Third, the distinction. Not even a dog will bark in Israel's homes that night while wailing fills every house in Egypt. From the palace to the lower servants, the lowest servants' quarters, all the way from the Pharaoh. All the way down to his lowest servant. Same midnight, same land, entirely different in outcome. Entirely different outcome. And the difference was never Israel's own merit, never something they'd earned by being better people than their name. It was the blood on the door. It was the blood on the door. He said, put the blood on the door. Put together this chapter says something that holds for every generation since. Judgment is real, provision is real, and mercy gets the last word for everyone standing on the right side of the blood, regardless of what they deserved on their own. I did not deserve to be saved at any point in time when I placed my faith in Christ the first time it was five years old. I didn't deserve it. Even then, I didn't deserve it. Didn't deserve it. I knew then that I didn't deserve it. Again, weird kid. I knew. And let me tell you, in all the times that God saved my life since, which is many, I've been nearly killed and at death's door so many times. And then from 2012 on, he spared me. I don't know why. I have no idea why. If I were him, I wouldn't. Good thing I'm not him. Good thing for you, good thing for me. Let me tell you something. This chapter says something that should speak to you. It should speak to you because you are a generation and a generation and a generation and a generation. And on and on and on since this moment, judgment is real. People don't like to talk about it. They always love to talk about, you know, God heals their brokenness and listens to their crying and moaning and all these things. Yeah, we love that about God. We love that about Yeshua. We love it. That feels good. But judgment is real. Provision is real. And mercy gets the last word for everyone standing on the right side of the blood. Don't miss this. Regardless of what we've done on our own. That happened that night. That midnight happened there. But it happens in your home. You've got a midnight coming. Maybe you already know roughly when. Some of you out there, I know, you have been given the prognosis, such as me, and it's moving so quickly you can't imagine. I can't thank my friend Don. Such a sweet, sweet man. And then he should, you know, he would have died, if not for the wonderful care of his doctors, but the care of Steve and Bonnie, Susan and Linda, you know who I'm talking about. He wouldn't have made it as long as he did. It was many years. And eventually the cancer came and got him. Wes. Wes was a unique human being. Wes had a lot of struggle. But Wes would do anything for you. I remember him coming to our house. Miss Colleen, you remember him driving over there at nighttime. It was kind of late. He wanted to bring me some sort of concoction he heard about on the internet that he bought that he thought might help me. Hey, if this helped you. And he and he gave it to him. He said, You keep doing that. I'm telling you, this worked. He had a big heart. He was a sucker for everything that came down the road, but he had a big heart. And he died of cancer. He was a welder. Most welders, look it up, die of cancer. A very dangerous profession as you do it, and it shortens your life. He was a sweet man in his own rough sort of way. One of the best welders in the state of Delaware. Listen, he knew, Don knew, it's coming. It's coming. Then it gets closer and closer. When I first came here, where we live now, uh the first thing I did was scout out hospices because they told they told us they told Miss Colleen and I. And if you're listening on audio, I just tapped on my watch. Time is coming, and it's sooner than you think. So I met with the hospices around here. They thought, wow, I've never seen anybody do this. I said, hey, I want to choose the right one. I want to choose the one that's easy to get to for my family because I don't want to have to drive through heavy traffic or scary neighborhoods. And I want it to be nice for them. Maybe I know three of you right now. You you've got a death sentence. And the doctors have told you, you're not going to survive this. Some of you may not survive the weekend driving. You're just driving down the road, and somebody crosses over 45 feet, and they're going 109 miles an hour. They jump a five-inch concrete median, 45 feet, and they hit you head on. And everything changes. Everything. Maybe you don't survive. Maybe you already know roughly when, and maybe you don't. And that not knowing is exactly why you keep putting off getting ready for it. You're telling yourself there's still time to figure it out later. Um if I if I if I thought begging would help, I would beg you. Handle your business with God, keep short accounts with God. I'm not saying this as a good person, even as a particularly good person. I'm not. I'm saying this as a person who has immersed myself in the ancient Near Eastern language, culture, and context of the Holy Scripture, the Holy Bible, and and thousands, literally thousands of books, studying and learning. Why? I never knew why. Now, now as well. Yes, I've spoken in huge churches and the applause and all of that stuff. That's awful night. You right now, your why. In between all this electronic wizardry and the camera that's everything's flowing through and it reaches your ear. You're listening on earbuds. Maybe you're listening at lunch. Maybe you're, maybe you're sitting at McDonald's and you're having your coffee and your McMuffin sausage egg, whatever. And maybe you're sitting in your house, you're by yourself, and the house is quiet. Maybe you're in a house with a bunch of kids running around. And maybe all that time is passed for you, and you're looking at your own mortality. Stop putting it off. Stop telling yourself there's time. Listen, if we got cancer 10 seconds into the first cigarette, nobody'd ever smoke. Maybe they would. But it's because it happens at a time you don't know. It's bacon in you. They know it causes cancer. It's not, well, maybe it does. No. Heroin, the first time somebody sinks a needle in their arm, they're not doing it not knowing. The world knows. Heroin will destroy you and everyone around you, everyone you love. But so will all kinds of other addictions. So will all kinds of other hurts happen and hang up. Here's what Israel did with the warning they were given. They didn't sit around waiting to see will it actually happen? Debating whether Moses. Listen, let me just tell you this. Let me interject this. I know people personally because it's gotten back to me. He said, man, for being terminally ill, this guy sure has lived a long time. When's he gonna die? Literally. People that proclaim to be my friends have said that. When's he gonna die? I don't think maybe he's terminally ill. Some of those people have my last name. Imagine that. They're waiting around to see if it would happen. The Israelites didn't do that. They didn't do it. They didn't debate whether Moses really meant midnight or just sometime soon. Figuratively soon. Figuratively soon. They got the lamb, they got the blood on the door, they got their sandals on, tied tight, and they stood ready to move the second the word came. Most of us treat warnings like background noise instead of like a clock. With a real hour hand. On it moving. We hear about the midnight and we keep living like it's a metaphor of some sort. Something poetic rather than something specific. It isn't. It isn't. Pharaoh heard the exact same announcement, Israel heard. It wasn't an announcement that was segregated only to Israel. He heard the same one on the exact same day, in the same room, from the same man, and he did absolutely nothing to prepare. Why? Because he convinced himself it wouldn't really come for him the way it would come for everybody else. It came for him anyway. Mercy postponed indefinitely is still mercy or refused, no matter how reasonable the postponing feels in the moment. The blood on the doorpost was never just a ritual. I can make you understand. It was never just a ritual. It was a preview written in advance of a different blood that would cover a different door. The door of every life willing to come under. I want you to think about what the blood actually did in Egypt. It didn't make the household immune to midnight. Midnight still came. Every house in Egypt at night, midnight still came. Israelite in Egyptian alive. The same hour, the same announcement. The blood didn't stop the visit. The blood on the door didn't stop the visit. The ones who did it, the visit still came. It changed what the visit meant when it arrived. Same thing with the dog that doesn't bark. Every house in Egypt had something happening in it that night. Grief tearing through streets from the palace down to the servants' quarters, and every house in Israel had the same exact midnight, arriving at the exact same hour, and nothing happened. Not a whimper, not a stirred animal, totally undisturbed, quiet. In the middle of the worst night Egypt has ever seen. That's because Israel's look, it it it let's just put it this way. It's not because Israel's homes were safer that night. Midnight came to their street too. The darkness came to their house too. It's because of what was already on the door before it arrived. That's still the difference today, folks. Two people can walk through the same hard providence, same diagnosis, same loss, same collapse. And one is gutted by dread because they're facing it uncovered, and the other is quiet, not because the pain is smaller, but because they already know. They know exactly what's already covering their door before the hard thing ever showed up. At the cross, God's own firstborn died. Oh, he was murdered, but he gave his life willingly. He was tortured, but not because he couldn't break the chains or the ropes, not because he couldn't grab the whips and turn them around on the people whipping him. No. He did it for you, and he did it for me. At the cross, God's own firstborn died, and it wasn't Egypt's firstborn this time, but it was his son, Yeshua. So that judgment would pass over everyone standing under his blood instead. The announcement of midnight in Exodus 11 comes the announcement of the cross. Both are warnings given in mercy in advance on purpose. Nobody has to face what's coming unprepared. You don't have to. Both come with a door that has to be chosen, not as soon. Take a deep breath. I want you to hear this. The midnight still came for Egypt's firstborn, it came for God's firstborn too, on a hill outside Jerusalem. So that it would never, so that it would never have to come for you. It's not a metaphor either. That's the whole gospel sitting right here in the middle of the plague narrative, centuries early, waiting for anyone willing to read it that way. You say, look, I I want I want to I want to be able to do concrete obedience. I want to do it. Okay, here you go. Here's how. You ready? First, name your midnight. What's the deadline, spoken or unspoken? The deadline that you've been treating like some sort of background noise instead of an actual clock with a real hour on it and a real minute hand and a real second going. Second, get the blood on your own door, not your church's. This isn't about your church. This isn't about your parents' faith if they had one. It's not about faith from 30 years ago. However, real that faith might have been for them and for you. Yours today, your faith, you are answered, you answer for yourself. Today, settled, specific, and decided. Number three, stop waiting to see if it's real before you prepare. Well, let me see. God, if you're real, stop doing that. Israel didn't wait for the wailing to start in the houses around them before getting ready in their own. They didn't wait. They didn't wait. Well, is it real? Or I would go put this on. I don't really want to do this. I don't want to mess up my door to draw off lies and whatnot. If he's, if he's, if it's not real, I don't want to, you know, I don't want to kill a lamb. Not for this. No, they just did it. And their shoes tied. They ate standing up because they believed it was coming. And it did. They didn't wait till they heard the wailing to prepare their own house. Get ready now. While there's still time to get ready. Not after the first sounds of midnight reach your street. Listen, I'm not telling you to be perfect. Scripture doesn't tell you to be perfect. It says to pursue. As Yeshua is. Pursue that. He knows. He knows that we will fail. He knows that we will fall short. I'll talk a lot more about that when we get to the New Testament. Listen, I have for you today a challenge and a choice. I get it. Way long. I've burned into my minutes for stuff and I have to pay extras. I can't think about that right now. I have to think about your midnight. The challenge and the choice that you have. What's the midnight you've been treating like it might not actually come? Is the blood on your door specifically, or are you resting on someone else's faith, someone else's prayer of salvation from years ago? If midnight came tonight, would you be standing in a house with the blood already on the door, or would you be negotiating like Pharaoh, open for one more delay? Here's the choice in front of you today. Whenever you're listening to this, live or on playback, here's the choice. Keep living like the warning is just some Bible story. Or get ready today, the way Israel did, before the wailing starts in every house of your. Amen. Listen. If you've never gotten the blood on your own door, if you've been living like midnight is somebody else's problem for some other time, today's the day that it challenges. Today, right now. The door is open right now. It will not stay open by default forever. Please believe that. If you believe, pray this with me. You ready? Your life's about to change. Your eternity is about to change. Pray it and believe it. With respect. Yeshua, I need you. I believe you died for me and rose from the grave. I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me. Fill me. Lead me. I'm yours. In your matchless name. Amen. I don't know if you've ever, I don't know if you've ever had a moment like this. I guarantee you, you will never forget it. If you just prayed that prayer, welcome to the family. It's the biggest decision you'll ever make in your eternity, I'm telling you. I don't win a toaster every time somebody goes to true wordfaith for life.com slash contact. I don't, I don't. I'm telling you, I have no iron in the fire. I have no horse in the race. I have nothing to gain by you doing that. I will help you. I'll never ask you for money. I will help you. Whatever that takes. If I can't help you, I'll find somebody you can. I've done it for countless people in the last four years of this ministry, and the whole time I've been doing stuff like this. We'll see to it. Listen, if this is your first time with us, we've been walking through. If you just happen to cross this, you might be going, what in the world? Well, if this is your first time with us, we've been walking through scripture chronologically since Genesis. What I'd encourage you to do is go to day one. It's all free on the YouTube channel. It's all free. We're not populating to Rumble anymore. For whatever reason, there it anyway, it doesn't matter. Sometimes we do special events there, but it's just anyway. Go to the YouTube channel. True Word, Faith or Life with Dr. Sean. It's the primary channel. Right around 4,000 subscribers every day. Go there, click on subscribe, click on the little bell, click all notifications, and then go back to day one. You can listen to day one, day two, and day three. As you're listening to day 64, day 65, and day 100. You can do it. Walk with us from the beginning. Believe me, it'll make sense. God announced the midnight before it ever came. Mercy with a clock on it. Given in advance. On purpose. Israel got the blood on the door and didn't have to fear what was coming for everyone else. Your midnight is coming too. The door is still open. Get the blood on it today. Please. Tell them. The warning is the mercy. Don't waste it. Finally, in closing, I'm gonna I'm going to for many centuries has been prayed over his people. I'm nothing special. But I want you to receive. I want you to receive this blessing. This heavenly blessing. In the name of God. I'm gonna pray it first in the language of God. The language of Yeshua. And then I'll translate it. Are you ready? May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Until Sunday at 6 30 Eastern Standard Time, 6 30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Shalom Shalom. Shalom Bishem Yeshua Shabbat Shalom.
