Isaac: The Promised Son | Genesis 21–22 | Covenant, Sacrifice, and Messiah Revealed
What if God’s promises test not only your patience but your trust? In Genesis 21–22, Isaac—the promised son—is born, bringing laughter to Sarah and Abraham. But the story quickly deepens into one of the most profound prophetic revelations in all of Scripture: the Akedah, the binding of Isaac.
Join Dr. Shawn M. Greener, Follower of the Way, theologian, and author of True Word, Faith for LIFE!, as he takes you into the Hebraic worldview of Genesis 21–22. Discover the Ancient Near Eastern context, insights from Dr. Michael Heiser and Dr. Skip Moen, and the covenant truths that point directly to Messiah Yeshua.
📖 We will explore:
• Isaac’s birth as the fulfillment of God’s covenant promise
• The test of Abraham and the meaning of nissah—to refine, not to trick
• Isaac carrying the wood up Moriah as a foreshadow of Yeshua carrying the cross
• The ram in the thicket and the Lamb of God
• The reaffirmed covenant promise fulfilled in Messiah
Challenge and a Choice: What “Isaacs” are you holding back from God? Will you cling to the gift, or trust the Giver?
NOTICE! Schedule will change to Sunday 8 PM, Monday 8 PM, Wednesday 8 PM. This is due to a lack of growth and engagement in our current schedule. If we don't grow, we die.
