He Kept You!

This week Israel found out what it costs God to keep somebody. A trumpet sounds. And across a whole nation, every debt releases. And every family walks back onto land that they lost. A treaty stacked with curses ends with a clause about coming home that no treaty in the ancient world ever included. The people with no address get counted one at a time by name. And they get handed a place to stand. Every family gets a load with their own name on it. And then at the end of the week, God teaches his people the exact words to say over one another. And he says one thing about those words that changes everything. So shall they put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them. That's the whole week in a single sentence. He released them, he wrote them away back, he counted them one at a time. He gave each of them something to carry. Then he put his name on them. Some of you have spent your entire life waiting for someone, for somebody to do a fraction of that. And nobody ever did. Stay with me tonight because this is the week God shows you what it looks like when he decides to keep a person. This is True Word, Faith for Life with Dr. Sean. I'm Sean. Shalom and welcome. Anyway, so days 105 through 109, from the Jubilee trumpet in Leviticus 25 all the way to the blessing in number six. The one I speak over you, I don't know if you picked up on this. Maybe something that you appreciate about them. That'd be a cool thing. Anyway, so here's tonight's question. What does it actually look like when God decides to keep a person? What does it actually look like when God decides to keep a person? You might say, keep a person. What's that? That sounds kind of funny. Well, you'll understand why here in a little bit. So watch the motion, the motion of the week, because when you watch the motion of the week, it it builds in one direction. It starts with release in Leviticus 25. The 50th year arrives, the shofar sounds on the day of atonement, and liberty goes out across the whole land. Debt's gone, servants freed, families walking home to the ground that they had lost. The Hebrew word is deror, which is release, deror, release, and it lands on a calendar, not on a whim. So from release, it moves, it moves to a way back. It moves to a way back. By the way, I want to I wanna just real quick. First of all, I love our our live chat. The live chat is very loving, it's very kind. On occasion, you will see people tap in who just want to destroy, they want to mess things up. They think that if they come in and they type weird things or ignorant things or crude things, that somehow or another that's gonna stop what this mission is. Um, and it's not, it has no power of the power of God. But there's a beautiful thing that happens in our in our live chat that I love. And it's just like, for instance, y'all caring for Miss Colleen when she was not feeling so well. Let me tell you, she's got an incredible constitution. She she almost never gets sick. And um I do have to say she has to deal with a lot with me. And I don't say that jokingly, it's a challenge. Watch watching a person uh delaminate, you know, physically delaminate the things that they can do and they can't do. Just that part alone is very, very difficult to see the daily decline. And and and it seems like lately, and I don't say this for you, feel sorry for me, or really to feel sorry for her, but pray for her because this isn't easy. And you you don't see it because you think, well, you you know, you talk pretty good and and all that. But if you listen to Saturday's episode, there was a couple of places where I just couldn't say the word. Whatever the words were, I couldn't say them. And I kept trying and kept trying and kept trying. So there's there's a paralysis that's going down my face. I don't know how far that'll go, and I don't know how much that'll affect, but it's making it harder to say words. And so I'm working with a great speech therapist and working with a great medical team, but the day-to-day, you know, it's it's gotta be really difficult to watch. And she she does this, Miss Colling does this with grace and uh patience and strength. And um I had a really serious fall several weeks ago. Uh banged my head on concrete, broke my glasses, and um, I don't know if I knocked myself out or not. I who knows? You never know. You don't know if you're unconscious or not. That always seems a funny thing to me. But um, she immediately saw the aftermath of that and then had to deal with the aftermath of it, and it wasn't easy. So uh kudos to her, bouquets after bouquet after bouquet to her for that. And I don't say it enough. So I could not do this without her. So that said, I love how you all treat each other, and it's real sweet. And so when somebody comes in and they're a disruptor, just recognize what they're about, recognize um crazy enough though, you you'd probably be shocked to hear this, but there's been several that I've had the privilege to lead to the Lord, and where where they take advantage at first to pick apart and and to fight with and and all that, the true word faithforlife.com backslash con uh or forward slash um contact. And they take advantage of that and they try to rip me and all that stuff, and I just talk to them and and uh several of them we've been able to lead to the Lord and and um the rest of them, they're gonna do what they're gonna do, and that is what it is. So never be dismayed if you if you happen to revisit a um an uh episode and you want to listen to it again and you see the comments, and and if they're ignorant or weird or whatever, don't let that bother you. That's just something that happens, and you know, you know you're over the target when you're taken on flack, and it doesn't bother me. Um to some people, they get scared and they get rattled, uh, but not me. Not me. It just doesn't bother me. And um nobody said this was going to be easy, but God didn't call me to easy. So I believe very firmly that this particular series that we're doing is from God. I hope that you take it that way. Uh many of you listen. I know Miss Nicole and several others wake up at four in the morning. Um, there are two uh a husband and wife team that work together in the emergency department. Um, he is a trauma surgeon and she is a PA, a physician's assistant, not his PA, but on occasion they do work, you know, directly with each other. And they're just coming home. Generally uh Monday through Friday, we do 7 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. They're just coming home from working all night, and they work in a very busy place. It's shootings and all of that stuff. And and so um, but they they lay in bed and they must have a big TV and they watch this ugly mug um preach and then they then they go to sleep. So here's a perfect example Kushal Manandharid, uh, there is no god, uh, just popped in the live chat. Here's the thing: there absolutely is the God, and the God one day, you know, there's a there's a clock ticking in history and time and and our experience here on this earth, um, and it's ticking away. But but in addition to that, there is in your chest a ticking time bomb, and it ticks away until it stops ticking. One day it'll stop ticking, and it perhaps may stop ticking inexplicably. You won't know, you won't, there'll be nothing wrong, and then all of a sudden your heart stops. So I encourage you to open your heart and your mind to not a God or one of the gods, but the God, the one and only God. He can change your life as nothing or anyone ever could or can, and and he can give you an eternity with him that is beyond description. In the meantime, he can walk with you through life so that this crazy struggle you're in that leads you to hopelessness, you could walk with peace, you can walk with shalom. So, imagine this, imagine Leviticus 26. Everybody says, I don't read the Old Testament because it's it's you know depressing. Well, it's not depressing if you really understand it. Leviticus 26, it lays it all out. Lays out the covenant the way the treaties of the age were written. Blessings, then curses that climb toward exile, and then it does the thing no treaty of that age ever did. It writes down in advance how people who broke everything can come home. From the way back, it moves to being counted. Numbers one, remember? We went into the book of Numbers, Bimidbar. It opens with God numbering a people who had no country, not as labor, but by name, family by family, and in Numbers two, he gives every clan a place to stand, arranged around his own presence at the center. From being counted, it moves to being carried. Numbers three and four take the Levites in place of the firstborn, and they hand each family a load sized to their shoulders. The holy things covered first so the men who bore them could come close and still live. And then it arrives. Numbers five and six, and after all of it, release and return and counting and carrying, there's still one thing a person cannot generate for themselves. Somebody has to speak good over them and mean it. So God teaches the words and he puts his own name behind them. Five days. Five days, one motion, the God securing people who could not secure themselves, and refusing to stop until they were kept and named and blessed, and told so out loud. There are five threads. Five threads. I you may read it and find different, but uh I find five threads. We're gonna lay them side by side, because five threads run the length of the entire week, and every one of them is still running through your life tonight. Or whenever you're listening. The first thread is release, and the shock of it is that God put it on a calendar. Every 50th year, fixed, automatic, tied to the day of atonement, so forgiveness and freedom arrive together. And here's the world it spoke into. Mesopotamian kings didn't kind of this is a crazy statement. Mesopotamian kings, they did cancel debts, but those releases came at the king's pleasure whenever it suited him. And you never knew if one was coming in your lifetime. Here's the thing, God he refused to leave mercy to anybody's mood. Anybody's feelings. I always talk about feelings and emotions lie. They often don't tell the truth, they often trick you. God refused to leave mercy to anyone's mood or whim, including his own people. So he nailed it to the calendar, so no one would ever have to hope a powerful man happened to feel generous during their lifetime. It's the same word used. The prophets used the same word, deador. Deador. They used the same words. They would later use this word for freeing of captives, the freeing of captives, deador. It was an appointment God had already put on the books. And it was coming, whether you had earned it or not. The second thread. Utterly fascinating. Truly, truly fascinating. I just find it. Breathtaking. Leviticus 26, the second thread, it's Leviticus 20, it's a way home. It's the way home. Leviticus 26 is built like a Caesarean treaty of the age, blessings, then curses climbing in five cycles. Four of them stamped with the same phrase, seven times more until the land itself finally takes rest. Finally takes the rest. And every treaty, every treaty like it in the ancient world ended right there. At the curses, because no great king writes down how a traitor comes back. God did. If they confess, he says, if they confess, then I will remember. And I will remember and I will remember three times. As if once weren't enough. As if once weren't enough for us to believe it. Let me address this. Chris Holmes 3976. Let's just go at this a second. Why in the world would a grown person, I happen to know that you're a grown person, why in the world would a grown person waste their time searching around, probably on their mom's internet or some some other place, because maybe you don't have a home or internet. Why would you take the time to come to Christian, obviously faith-based YouTube channels, and just look for a live stream and go in it and all the copied and pasted stuff you have, because that's how they do it, guys. That's how they do it. You say, man, that person types fast. No, they don't. They do this all the time. They type them out on their computers or their phones, and they have them, little things like Kou Shalom and Horick. He he's not as sophisticated as uh Chris Holmes 3976 is. Not as sophisticated as he doesn't have a game plan, but Chris Holmes 3976, he does have a plan. His plan is, I'm gonna mess up these Christians. Well, funny that funny enough, I'm not a Christian. I am a follower of the way. And I can take a little detour and I can address you not with respect, because you don't deserve respect. You're you're a person, you're a person not deserving of respect. It's just uh it's it's just funny to me that that a person with reasonable intelligence would waste their time doing this. Makes no sense. And they have it all typed out. Again, but they're not typing it out right now, they're not typing on their little fingers on their phones, they're not doing that. It's all typed out in advance. You see, folks, they're the deceiver, the deceiver has all kinds of fancy ways. See, they want to take over the internet, right? That's why the P-word uh is so prevalent. It's bigger than MLB, it's Major League Baseball, NBA, um, NFL, all of it combined. All of it. National hockey, it's all of it. It's bigger than that. And the thing is, is they want to take over the internet. Them and and all the others. And so the way they choose to do it is they choose to use the internet as a tool of evil, which is exactly what Chris Holmes 3976 is. And he will proclaim himself to be tolerant, right? He'll say, I'm tolerant and probably a feminist. You know, there's that. And he'll say all that, but he'll come to a place where he knows they disagree, and he will impose his thoughts and his beliefs on them. Well, you can feel sorry for me, Kushaloman and Harek. You can feel sorry for me all you want. All you want. Religious people are so misguided, and yet here you are on a YouTube channel live stream, typing stupid stuff into the chat. Makes you wonder the composition of your life, the emptiness of your life. See, that's what I see when I see these people. Remember, I told you it's going to happen. This episode, I just felt it in my spirit. I said, Oh Lord, here they're going to come. Here they're going to come, and then there they come. And they're one of many. You can't see a lot of them because some of them they use banned words or banned phrases. I have like 33 different things in there that if they have that in there, then I see them, but you don't see them. And so um, and and a lot of them are pretty sophisticated. They know uh, they know the system, right? And they know how certain people will run their channels, and they know that there's uh sort of um uh gates that you can put up, right? But some of them get through because this is what they do, and um, you know, and then they'll have questions like uh Kushal has a question, how can a man walk on water? How? How can you walk on water? Can you walk on the water?

I can't walk on water, I can't. That's why it's a miracle. Have you ever had a miracle happen in your own life?

Or has your life been miracle less? My life has seen miracles. I've both seen it physically in my own life and I've seen it in other people's lives. I've watched them happen. So, I haven't seen anybody walk on water, but I have seen miracles.

You see, the miracle worker, the miracle maker. He's not limited. Like we are.

And you can believe, you know, uh one of one of the things Chris Holmes3976 says is about the Bible being written by 40 authors and three continents in a time period of 1500 years, primitive myth, and blah, blah, blah. So he didn't have YouTube live chat. They didn't have that back then, they didn't have text messaging, they didn't have any of those things. Didn't have any of those things. But I did a message. In fact, I've done a few of them on why you can believe the Bible. I would encourage you to watch that. And you think I'm kidding or being uh uh, I want to say a seafish, facetious. Um, you think I'm being facetious, but I'm not. I encourage you to watch it. It's free, only costs you a little bit of time. And I think if you watch that, I really believe if you watch that with an open mind, and I don't know if you have an open mind. I don't know if you do or you don't. But I hope you do. Now, you haven't interrupted me because I've chosen to stop. I've chosen to stop and address you. This will be the last that I address you, and I will ban you because if if you don't have any decency or any sort of courtesy or humanity, well, then you don't warrant, you haven't earned the right to be in this group, and that's sad because you could benefit from it. These are nice people here, these are nice people, you know, disagreeable people. Ugh. It's like hugging a cactus. I bet they're fun at parties. Anyway, so I will remember. I will remember. See, you thought I wouldn't remember, but God says, I will remember, I will remember, I will remember three times. And he doesn't have to say it like that for us to believe it. He doesn't have to say it like that because you know a person has to repeat things over and over and over and over. He doesn't have to do that. That's that's not how um it has to work. It just doesn't. There's a reason for it. There's a reason his method of communication is extraordinary. It's really extraordinary as you read through and you're like, whoa, wow. And then if you understand the Hebraic worldview, the Hebraic mindset, the ancient Near Eastern language, culture, and context, you get it. You go, oh makes sense. Even in the land of their enemies, he says, I will not cast them away. The third thread is the counting. I find this fascinating. Egypt had counted these people for 400 years, the way you count units of labor. Understand, they were slaves, right? They're they're they're building all these Egyptian things, most of them built by Jews. Yeah, they were alongside other Egyptians. But but the Jewish nation, they were laboring and breaking their back. So the first thing does and and and I find this fascinating too. And I don't know if you find it fascinating. I don't I don't know. I I don't know your story. I wish I wish I did. Some of you I know your stories, but I wish I did know your stories. The ones that I don't. The only way I can know is if you reach out. So the first thing God does after redeeming them is count them again. The Mespar Shemot by the number of names, house by house. And then he gives them something better than a number. He gives every family a place, four sides, three tribes each, standards raised, his presence in the exact center. And the standard wasn't only for battle. It was how a family knew which way to walk when two million people struck camp at once. Can you imagine? Two million people. Two million people. Look up, find your banner, and you know where your people are going. They had no land, they had no address. So God gave them a geography defined entirely by where they stood in relation to him. Did you get that? He was in the center of the camp. And when he moved, they moved. And they knew always where he was in relation to them. Your address, in other words, was never a location, it was a proximity. I'm just gonna give you one more. Grim truth misquotes Leviticus 25, 44 through 46. By the way, we're gonna get there. We're not gonna get there today, but we're gonna go back to that. And if you go back a few lessons where we covered that. Yeah, slavery, the old, I permitted slavery, so he's no good. They weren't simply indentured servants. The Jews themselves were slaves. They had no choice. Labor without a choice is slavery, it's servitude. And your point is what? Never mind, I don't care. Your address, where you were assigned in this group, God assigned it. He never once expected a family to guess which way to walk. He showed them, he told them, he gave them the map to follow, and the map was where I am. There you will be, and where you are is where I will be. Follow me, and you'll be safe. The fourth thread is the burden. The Levites are taken in place of the firstborn. Wow. The arithmetic it's exact. Ever since I I uh got injured so bad, I'm not so great at math. And this is astounding. Twenty-two thousand Levites, twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three firstborn. God doesn't round, he redeems the extra two hundred and seventy-three by name at five shekels apiece. Then he loads Girishon. Here's the loads. Remember, I told you about loads. I'm gonna explain it here. Girshon carries the fabric, Miradi, the heavy frame, kohath, the holy things on their shoulders, because they were given no wagons. Every family's burden size to what it could bear. The old saying, He never gives you more than you can bear. I wonder where that came from. And notice the mercy in it. God didn't shrink his holiness so the Kolatites so they could uh survive carrying it. He had Aaron covered the holy things first so they could bear what would otherwise have killed them. Here's the part that should stop you, right in your tracks. Aaron wrapped every holy object before the Kohatites ever touched it. And the text even says they were not even to look or they would die. So the men who carried the most sacred things in Israel spent their entire lives bearing something they had never once laid eyes on, trusting that somebody who could look had done the covering right. Every man to his service and to his burden. The fifth thread gathers the other four. After the land came back, and the way home was written, and the names were counted, and the loads were assigned. There was still one thing Israel could not produce for itself. Somebody had to speak good over them with authority and mean it. You know, at the end of every episode, I I speak this same this same blessing over you. And I want you to know I don't think I'm anything special. I know I'm not, just not, but I know this. Before I got hurt, and I was something special then. God gave me this crazy brain, and these crazy things, Miss Collins, and some of you can attest. I'm not saying this is a brag or a flex. It's how I was born. I had no control over that. But I could do wild things. Physically and I had the craziest start to life. I was 2.6 pounds. I was way early. And oddly, I just had these weird physical and and mental capacities and weird things. It's crazy. And I wish, I wish, you know, my dear sister-in-law Lynette, she spoke beautiful things over me. She was precious. And she is precious. Her smile lights up a room. Greener girls. And um, well, we won't discuss that, but uh, but I will tell you, I prayed the prayer over you the way that I do. Oh, thank you, Miss Carolyn. You're so precious. I pray the prayer over you at the end of every episode, the way that I do. Because I remember a time where I would look at my family and I'd go, not all of them, because Lynette was very, very different. Um I remember thinking, I wish you would just think something good. Say something good over me. You know? Something. Some of you live in families the same. You you you just wish somebody would say something good over you. I have friends who their children they've prayed over every day. Every day. For their children, and it's their children are adults now, 50 years old, still praying every day over their children and their grandchildren and their great-grandchildren. Some of you you've felt like no one has ever prayed over you. No one, no one has ever spoken beautiful words over you, and then it. Speaking Lashon Hakadesh, which is in Hebrew, the language of God, the very language of God. He spoke it to his people, and his people spoke that to him. Somebody had to speak good over the Hebrew people, and they had to speak it with authority, and I speak it over you, because you have to mean it. So God gave the words three lines that widen in the Hebrew from three to five to seven, and look at the middle one, year. I'm telling you, if you really understood what it meant, year from the Hebrew for light, may he make his face light up, light up toward you the way a face lights up when someone it loves walks in the room. Have you ever seen this? Yeah, I don't know. Maybe you have. Maybe you are married to someone who looks at you at you this way. And maybe, maybe you have children. And and when they come into the room or you come into the room, they see you. Our daughter um sent us this precious video one time of our first grandchild. We're gonna have three in come November, but we have two and a half, three-quarters, maybe precious grandchildren now. They are they are so awesome. And but she sent us this one of, and I don't say their names uh protect their, you know. Anyway, um, and he and she has this video of him, and it's almost dark in this room, and he's laying, he's already awake, and he's been singing and all this stuff. He's just a little one. And you can see his face light up when he sees her walk in the room, and his little smile just glows, and he looks with so much love and trust to his mother. So that brings me to something that I want to very briefly touch on and then move on. And I want you to take a deep breath because it's a hard thing. There was declared a mistrial this week in the Clancy trial of the woman who murdered her three children. She strangled them to death with exercise bands. It's crushing, it's a crushing story. Um, the evidence that was presented in court is far, far more grim than than we can even imagine. And and I just want you to understand. First of all, that a lot of what you see on social media is incorrect. They mischaracterize what this trial was. This trial wasn't to find her guilty or innocent. She admitted that. She never said, I didn't do it. It was whether she was guilty by reason of insanity, because of a uh a psychotic break due to postpartum. It's a whole nother discussion. Or just taken over by evil, or did the doctors do something wrong? That's a separate trial. That's coming. Rest assured, that's coming. Why did she have all of these drugs prescribed for her? Nobody called each other. Nobody said, hey, I see you've prescribed this. Man, oh man, this, and I'm not making excuses for her. She she belongs wherever she belongs, but she's she's in a wheelchair for the rest of her life. She threw herself out of a window. She was trying to kill herself. I believe she's deeply disturbed. Anyone who hurts children is deeply disturbed. She was a registered nurse. I mean, she was she had an excellent, excellent career, and she was very good at it. People say that she her her accomplishments were phenomenal, but she when she had her first baby, something changed. And then when she had her second baby, something more changed. Changed much more dramatically, and then the third. After the third, it was awful. And it was tragic. I don't make any excuses for, I cannot imagine living in that mind. But I know this. You wonder. Whatever, what was with her parents? Did she are they dead? Her parents, are they gone? Are they dead? We never heard from them. Does she have no siblings? Is she an only child? We never heard from her family. We've not seen them since. And there's a husband. Ex-husband, I'm guessing. And he no longer has his wife or his three precious, beautiful children, which by all accounts he treasured. All of them. It's a crushing, crushing thing. But I think of those babies, and I think, man, she should spend her life, her entire life somewhere. So that she never can be around children again. I don't know where that place is. I don't. I don't have sympathy for, I don't have empathy for. I have a lot of thoughts. I don't think either of those cover them. But I know this. God will deal with it justly. But I wonder if any of the family that I haven't seen, where are they? What are they thinking? What are they feeling? You know, if she had parents, their grandparents to those three precious babies. If you put yourself in that place, it's how do you even, how do you even? How do you even handle all of that? Imagine being the people have a lot of of really negative things to say about the jury. The jury came back deadlocked multiple times, and and um, you know, in Massachusetts, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, they have strange jury instructions. It's it's very complex, it's very weird, and the burden of proof there is different than in other states. It's not a state, it's a common one. But but their judicial system is very, very different. As such, the outcomes very often are people who should absolutely be incarcerated for the rest of their natural lives aren't. And then they go on to cause other problems. Sometimes it's not about um it's not about anything other than it's not re it's not about rehabilitation, it's about protecting society. And sometimes it's just about punishment. It's about society standing up and saying, no, no, no, you can't do this. We can't, under no circumstances can we allow you to do this. So I think about those babies. Those innocent babies. They are in the presence of God, healed and made whole, no memory of the awful thing that happened. The awful thing that was done to them one by one. I said all this for several reasons. We cannot comprehend God's goodness without looking at evil. We must think about those little children looking at their mothers. Why are we going down to the basement? I don't like it down there. It's scary down there. And then one by one she kills them. Can you imagine the look on their face? It's not a fast death. Why are you doing this to me? Evil doesn't care. Evil doesn't care, and yet the goodness of God welcomes those cherubs into his presence, healed and made whole. Don't take it lightly, no matter what you've grown up with, no matter what you've lived with, no matter what you've survived, God loves you. He loves you with a love you cannot comprehend. We will never be able to comprehend the love of God fully and truly until we look him in the face. You know, when Yeshua went to the cross, for us, he was tortured before he got there. He's barely alive. He was beaten nearly to death. He didn't have to. He had proven that he had supernatural power. I mean, he'd he'd brought back people from dead, graveyard dead. Brought them back to life, vibrant life. The ones he healed, they weren't limpid. They were healed and made whole, the presence of the king. Now, I want you to picture no matter what relationships you've had in your life or that you have now, because maybe you're living in a situation where your mate, when you walk in the room, their face doesn't light up. Maybe your kids are at that phase where you walk into the room and their faces no longer light up. Maybe your parents their faces don't light up. Maybe they never did. May he make his face light up toward you the way a face lights up when someone it loves walks in. That same word for face sits in the middle line, and again in the last line, the same face turned toward you twice. Though most English Bibles hide it by switching the second one, the countenance. And then the sentence that holds the whole week together, they shall put my name upon the people of Israel, and I will bless them. The priests were never wishing anything, they were placing a name, and God did the blessing himself. Here's one truth. The whole week was circling, and it is bigger than any single day could hold. In Leviticus 25, remember when the fool back there cited Leviticus 25? They don't know it. When an Israelite lost his hand or his freedom, for whatever reason, the law didn't send an agency, it sent a relative. The Goela was the family member who bought back what a relative had lost. And the Redeemer had to be two things at once, or he could not act at all. He had to be near enough by blood to have the right and be able enough to pay the price. A wealthy stranger couldn't do it. He had no standing in the family. A poor cousin couldn't do it. He had the standing but not the means. Kinship and ability both in one person. And there was no redemption. Hold that requirement and watch it walk into the book of Ruth. I cannot wait until we get there.

A widow with nothing. A foreigner.

A field she doesn't own. Who happens to be both a relative and neighbor? And the whole story hangs on one question. And then Jesse. And then David. And eventually out of that same small town of Bethlehem, Bait Lakim. A man. Hold that beside the counting for midweek. The God. The God who would not round 273. The same specificity is running here. Are you listening? Are you hearing me? Redemption in Scripture is never a general amnesty issued to a crowd. It is a named Redeemer buying back a named person at a named price. God doesn't save populations. He redeems people. One at a time. By name. The way he counted them. Because this is where the whole week has been heading. Every thread has been God securing somebody who could not secure themselves. And the mechanism he wrote into the law for doing it was that of a redeemer. The Redeemer who was both kin and capable. And there was only one way for God to meet his own requirement. He could not redeem us from a distance, that of a wealthy stranger, however powerful. He had to come near enough by blood to have the right. Listen to how Hebrews says it. Listen to how Hebrews says it, the book of Hebrews in the New Testament. Surely it is not angels that he helps, but the offspring of Abraham. Therefore, he had to be made like his brothers in every respect. He qualified himself on purpose. That is what the incarnation is for. The kinship requirement of Leviticus 25 is why the word had to become flesh, and the ability requirement is why only he could pay. And that he that I am referring to is Jesus. The God who put the release on the calendar didn't stay on the calendar. He stepped into the family. He took the blood, met the standard he himself had written, and became in person. The redeemer. That person, the redeemer, the law had been describing for fifteen hundred years.

Hello, Nazir. Hallelujah, glory, amen.

Everything you have lost and called permanent is sitting in front of a Goel who is both able and yours, not a distant benefactor who might help if it suited him. A relative with the right and the means and the will. The whole law had been drawing his portrait for fifteen hundred years. And then he walked out of Nazareth and matched it line for line. So bring him to every thread, because he is in all five. He walked into a synagogue in Nazareth, opened the scroll in Isaiah, read the year of the Lord's favor, which is Jubilee, closed the book, sat down, and said, Today, this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. He didn't just teach the year of release, he stood up and announced himself as it. Every debt Jubilee ever canceled was a rehearsal for the one he came to cancel himself. The curses of Leviticus 26, oh, they were real, and someone absorbed them. Christ the Redeemer. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us and the blessing at the front of that same chapter. I will make my dwelling among you and walk among you got a face. The word became flesh, his name is Yeshua, and the Greek says it plainly, tabernacled among us. Rakakodesh, the Holy Spirit, the presence that camped in the center of the center of the camp pitched his tent in a human body. The counting runs forward too. He said, The very hairs of your head are numbered. He knows his own by name. In Yochanana, John saw a book at the end of everything, John the Revelator. He saw a book with names written in it, not numbers. The burdens land on him. Isaiah said the government would rest on his shoulder, the very place the Kohatites bore the holy things, and he said, Take my yoke upon you, for my burden is light. And the one thing in Israel that no ordinary hand could touch and live, he became. Then he carried his own cross on his own shoulders out of the city, the holy thing bearing itself, because for him it could go no other way. And then the last thread and the posture he left the earth in. At the very end of the Gospel of Luke, he led them out to Bethany, lifted up his hands, and he blessed them. And while he was blessing them, he was carried up from them. The last thing anyone on earth saw him do with his hands was raise them over people who had run from him just weeks before. And he didn't just raise his hands over them. He spoke good over them. He went up mid-blessing, and that is the posture he is in right now, speaking blessings over you. Right now, over you, hands raised, mid-sentence, speaking good over a life that maybe no one else ever did. You see, I told that story earlier. It wasn't just a story, it was truth. I lived it. My parents were good people. They were good people. They did the best they could. They did the best they could with what they knew and what they had. How different life might have been, not just for me, but for my children and my grandchildren. Had they spoken a blessing over me one time, one time. I have sworn some of you who are loved by me will very often say, Man, Dr. Sean, or my brother, or my my uh my brother-in-law, or my, I don't think of her as in-law, by the way, she's my sister, um, or or my spouse, or my child, or my grandchild, you, or my friend. Say, man, Sean, you say I love you a lot. It's because I do. Man, you say you like say good things about me all the time. You can't get anything from me. No, you're right, I can't. I say it because I never had it said over me. And then I read this story as a kid. I was this weird kid who had this weird brain. And I read it and I said, This is the way, this is the way it's supposed to be. Why isn't it this way? There's a lot of hurting people out there. Some of them are you, some of them are your parents or your children, or your spouse, or the people you work with. Understand, there's there's a hurting society out there. Someone put a comment on uh on yesterday's episode, and it was a very disturbing episode. Um I'll grant you that. You can watch it every but just because it's alive, it's immediately available. You think I'm just saying that? Would I say it over and over and over if it didn't have a massive impact? You say I'm only one person, trust me, trust me. It's bigger than that. I made a conscious choice. For a big part of my life, I was a much darker person than you see now. My capabilities were extraordinary, and I didn't always use them for good. When I tell you I have dents in my halo, trust me. Trust. Not kidding.

But I think you need to know this. At the end of every episode, it's not just a saying.

The blessing I say is the same one God spoke over his people. It's the same one that Yeshua spoke and in mid-sentence was carried to heaven. If you never had anybody, if you never had anybody, speak good over your life. I will. Granted, I'm nobody special. I'm not Yeshua. I'm not God. I'm not even good. But I'll tell you this, I'm sincere. So here's the weak's obedience. You say, okay, what do I do now? It's three moves, and it's not a feeling. First, name one thing you've written off as permanently lost. One thing you've written it off as permanently lost. You say it's not ever coming back. A relationship, a reputation. The years. A piece of your family that's out of your hands now. Name it out loud. No, no, no. Don't say it quietly to yourself. Say it out loud. Maybe write it down. And this week bring it back to God as something a redeemer could still buy back. Because in his economy, permanent generational loss was structurally impossible. There was always a year coming. Second, find one load you're carrying with somebody else's name on it. Not your own work, theirs. A parent's, a spouse who won't pick it up. A system that decided long ago you were the strong one. Everything always got put on your shoulders because you always had a smile on your face. You always just got it done. Didn't do a lot of talking, you just got it done. Behind that big, beautiful, bright smile was a person breaking under the weight. Ask honestly whose name is on that thing you've been carrying that's breaking you. And this week have a conversation that sets it down. And ask the harder half to. Whether you've put down something that was genuinely yours to carry, and you called it a boundary because that's what that's what all the kids do now. You know, they talk about boundaries. And if you're carrying something that you cannot even see the shape of, something you can't explain to anybody. Don't assume you were forgotten in the assignments. That was the Cloth's job. That was the whole job description. Nobody could see the load they were carrying. Nobody but Aaron. Nobody but God. Third, bless someone out loud. Not a text. Face to face by name. And tell them plainly that you want good for them. Pick the person who would come apart if you said it. Not come apart in a bad way, not delaminate, but look you in the eye.

And start shaking. And get goosebumps on their arms. Because they've not ever had anybody speak that way about them. Or over them.

I've done it in restaurants. I don't make a big thing of it. And I looked him right in the eye. As I had one hand on them.

And one hand in the air. And I said it quietly.

So only they and maybe their family could hear. Maybe maybe if it's a service person, their family's not there, their family's home. Or wherever their family is, but they're working, working, working, working, always working.

And I've had them look at me.

And that face that they put on, that magazine smile, that face that they put on. So the world doesn't see they're hurt. And the burdens everybody else's burdens that they're carrying. And they've looked me in the eye, and that face that face went blank. And then it went like the face on the thumbnail. If you're watching. And they looked me in the eye. And their eyes went wet and their face went wet. And their little smock went wet with tears. And their hands began to shake. And I prayed. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face shine upon you. May He make His face light up. Pick the person who would absolutely need to hear this. Pick the person that's been starving for someone to say good over them. Do all three before next Sunday. You can do it. I have for you tonight a challenge and a choice, and I recognize this has been an odd episode. It's been odd for a reason. I preached seven times this week. It's the stupidest thing I could do, physically, mentally, emotionally. The worst thing I could do, all the doctors say, crazy. You're just nuts. For such a time as this. Some of you are terrified. What's going on in the world and everything that's happening and the evil that seems to be winning? I'm telling you, evil won't win, not forever. I have for you tonight a challenge and a choice. Which one were you this week? The one holding a ledger on somebody who wronged you? The one in year 43 who's decided the loss was gone for good? The one who has never felt counted, only used. The one breaking under a load that was never assigned to you. Or the one who has never, in your whole life, been blessed by anyone. Here is the choice tonight, and it's the same choice for all five. You can keep believing that what you lost is permanent, that what you carry is yours alone to carry, and that nobody was ever going to speak good over you. Or you can believe the God who put release on the calendar, wrote the way home into the covenant before anyone had left, counted you by name, sized your burden to your shoulders, and then taught his own people the exact words to say over you. One of these keeps you exactly where the week found you. The other one is the year of release, and it has a name. Choose the one that ends with you kept. Prayer is not asking for an easy journey. Pray with me. Because prayer is asking for a strong back. Father, in the name of Yeshua, our kinsman redeemer. Thank you that you never left mercy to our moods. Thank you that release was on the calendar and the way home was written into the covenant before anyone, any one of us, gone anywhere. Thank you, that you count by name, that you that you did not round at 273, that you assigned every family a burden they could actually carry, and covered the holy things, so we could come close to you and live. And then said the blessing. Then said the blessing would be yours to give. So tonight, for everyone listening, whether live or on playback, the hurts that they're carrying, the habits that they're trying to fight, the hang-ups they're trying to beat. For those that have never had anyone speak good over them, who has felt like a leftover, the uncounted, the one past where provision ran out. Father God, put your name on them right now. Let them feel the face of God turn toward them and light up at the sight of them. Thank you, Father. Glory to God. Thank you, Father. Thank you for seeing out among all those hurting who have never once had anyone speak good over them. I thank you that you find them and you deliver them. That you show them that you love them, not as we love. We're jacked up. Our love is so conditional, and yet you love us in a way we could never imagine. Father God, Father God, I am pleading with you. May your face shine upon those people. Upon hearing this. In Yeshua's name I pray. Amen. Maybe you've carried a debt for years that has nothing to do with money, the kind that follows you into every room and tells you what you're worth. Hear this tonight. The Redeemer in Leviticus had to be a relative with the means to pay, and Yeshua, you know him as Jesus, became exactly that on purpose. He came near enough to have the right and be able enough to cover it. And then he stood up in his hometown and he announced the year of release and said, Today, this is filled. You don't have to earn your way back. There is a year and it has a name. His name is Jesus. If you want him, tell him now. Do not wait one more second. Oh, don't wait. Don't put it off until we'll never get here. Someday we'll never get here. Right now is the time of redemption in your life. Right now is the moment everything changes. Pray this with me right now. Yeshua, I need you. I am asking you to come into my heart right now. I believe you died for me. And you rose again on that third day, just as you said you would. I surrender my life to you today. I give it freely to you. Forgive me of my sins, my hurts, my habits, and hangups. Help me. I need help. Fill me. Lead me. My life is yours. In your name. Amen. Come on, if you just pray that. Heaven is rejoicing. There's a concert in heaven right now, and they're singing your name. They are shouting, glory to God. And so am I. I'm so happy and excited for you. But listen, I'm here to tell you. I say it all the time. I said it twice tonight. Prayer isn't asking for an easy journey. It's asking for a strong back. But listen, you don't have to carry the load by yourself because you may think you go tell somebody, and I want you to tell somebody, absolutely do. Don't be ashamed of it. Tell somebody. You may tell them, and they may look you in the eye, and they may stare at you like you have ten heads. Maybe your mom, your dad, whoever, your spouse. You may say, Hey, I place my faith in Christ tonight. I gave my life to him. I've become a follower of the way, and they may look at you like, again, I know you. What a joke. He spoke it himself and he's and he put his name behind it. And then on the last page, he rose with his hands still raised. That's the weak. That is the God who keeps you. That is the posture he is in tonight. Hands raised over you. If you know somebody that has never had anyone speak good over them out loud, send them this episode. Tell them it's weird. Tell them I don't want them to be shocked by it. That's fine. Tell them plainly, this blessing was written for you, and God attached his own name to it. Now I want you to receive, I want you to receive this in his heavenly name and in Lashon Hakadesh, the language of God.
