Key Takeaways

  • Many believers stand at the edge of their own 'Jordan River,' waiting for God to make circumstances easy before they step out in faith.
  • When crossing the Jordan in Scripture, the priests had to step ankle-deep into the rushing floodwaters before God parted the river.
  • God does not wait for you to feel completely brave or for the water to stop moving before He acts; the miracle happens when you take the first step of obedience.
  • The twelve stones taken from the riverbed serve as a memorial so future generations can learn what God has done through personal storytelling.
  • Just as the Ark of the Covenant went first into the Jordan, Yeshua went first into death and the grave as our ultimate forerunner and Savior.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does crossing the Jordan River represent in the Bible?

Crossing the Jordan represents stepping out in active obedience and faith into what God has called you to do, rather than waiting on the safe riverbank for conditions to become easy.

When did the waters of the Jordan River part for the Israelites?

The waters did not part until the feet of the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant actually touched the brink of the flooded river.

Why did God command Joshua to set up twelve stones from the Jordan?

The twelve stones served as a memorial from the riverbed so that when children asked what the stones meant, older generations could share the story of God's mighty deliverance.

How does the crossing of the Jordan connect to Yeshua (Jesus)?

Just as the priests carried the Ark into the river first and stood until everyone crossed, Yeshua went first through the deepest waters of death and holds the way open for His people.

You've been standing at the edge of something a long time. Seems like you've been standing there forever. Wonder if this day will ever get here. And then what do I do with the day? But then again. Maybe you've been standing at the edge of something that you need to do. And that you know you need to do. The call you keep not making. The apology you rehearse in the car and you do it over and over and over. The doctor's appointment you're dreading going into. The conversation with your adult child that is maybe ten years overdue. You tell yourself you're waiting on God. I'm just waiting on the Lord. When he opens the way, you'll go. This is this is what you say. I'm just waiting on the Lord. And when the Lord opens the way, I'm going, I'm gonna go, I'm gonna go do it. So you wait. A month, a year. The water doesn't move. The river you have to cross doesn't move. It's all the water's moving, but the river isn't. Somewhere under the waiting is this quieter fear. What if you run out of time? What if you're gone? And the people you love, they never knew what God did for you. Today Israel stands at a river in a flood. The water's over its banks. There's no bridge. There's no boats. There's no ferry boat going across. God tells the priests to step in before anything happens. What? That's like telling somebody to jump and they jump and they ask how high on the way up. God tells the priests to step in before anything. Not after the water parts, not after. Before. This is true word, faith for life with Dr. Sean. I'm Sean. I'm glad to have you. Welcome to everybody listening live on chat and everybody listening on playback through any of our platforms that we have. We're on all of them: Spotify, iHeartRadio, iTunes, Amazon Music. You just tell A-L-E-X-A, play for me True Word Faith for Life with Dr. Sean, or just say play the latest from True Word Faith for Life with Dr. Sean, and it'll play me. Yeah, I know. Imagine how weird that is. So if you have one of those A-L-E-X-A, I'm just I can't say it because then she'll perk up. Anyway, that's what you can do. You can also set up on any of those um, you know, little notification things. But the real way, the best way, uh, the most important thing you can do is if you're not a subscriber on True Word, Faith for Life with Dr. Sean S H A W N YouTube channel with about 4,000 subscribers, go over there, click on subscribe, click on the little bell for all notifications, and then uh hit that thumbs up while you're at it. Trust me, we wouldn't say it if if you just understood how the algorithm works. I would never say that ever. I hate saying it. I really don't love it. I don't like saying it, but you got to. Because that drives everything. If you want people to see it, that's what you got to do. So welcome to day 136, all of y'all. Some of you are up at four in the morning just to listen live. How incredible is that! God bless you to you all. Good morning, Miss Nicole, Miss Susan, God bless you, dear. Miss Tammy, God bless you, God bless you. To be continued 25, God bless you, brother. My brother Sean spelled correctly, good morning, and Miss Linda, good to see you, good to see you praying for you all. Day 136, I think, of Through the Bible in a year, walking the story of God. Yesterday, Joshua heard, be strong and courageous. Be strong and courageous. Remember, he said it over there. He kept hearing it. People don't say that to people who look strong, right? And look courageous. They don't repeat that over and over. But now you're getting ready to take over. You're getting ready to lead, you're getting ready to be God's leader, taking over after somebody like Moses. You imagine going after Moses. You imagine. And 40 years you've been the assistant coach. 40 years you've been the vice president. 40 years you've been the deputy CEO, I don't know, whatever. Whatever thing you want to call it. 40 years. But now you are the headmouth. Be strong and courageous. And remember Rahab or Rahab, as you've probably heard, Rahab hung a scarlet cord in her window. Today we cross the Jordan. Joshua 3 and 4. If you want God's word to make any sense, by the way, in your real life that you're living, my second book, True Word Faith for Life. I know, hard to believe. True Word Faith for Life, the Eagle is a picture I shot. Waited all day long for it. And the freezing freezing cold with my dear friends Jerry and Myra, who just got back from Germany and Europe in general, doing a book tour. Not a book tour, but a um they went to, they were exhibitors at uh Jerry's written several excellent books. And um, they did the uh Frankfurt uh book fair, I think. I get invited to go to that every year and I never go. He had a blast. So anyway, and he and Myra had a blast. Myra had a big old, big old smile on her face. So did he. So I can't wait to hear all about it. They just got back, so so I say it every day. I don't even know if y'all, I mean, some of y'all do it. Some of you can't do it because you can't figure out how to type, you know, certain things at certain times, and that's okay. I understand. So one word in the chat. One word. So setting that up easy, one word. You can do all caps, I don't even care. The step in front of you right now. Look, you know where you are in your life. I don't know your life, but you do. You do know where you are, you do know what you're going through, you do know what you're waiting on. You do know what you're walking through. Type the true one. Waiting or walking, whichever one it is. Type the true one. Quick announcement because I forgot. And um, so I'm gonna need to rest my voice. Uh, so coming up next week, uh starting Sunday, I probably I probably will not be on the mic on Sunday. Uh I'm gonna see about one or two days next week, but I've got to rest my brain and I've got to rest my voice just for just for a few days. Um, so I'll have more for you on that. I'll just have to see. And um yeah, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta rest the system. System's overloaded. But I'm fine. I'm not fine, but you know what I'm saying. Anyway, there'll be more coming about that. If you're a subscriber, I'll put it in the uh YouTube uh notes. I'll put it in there. Good morning, Miss Susan. Um I probably said good morning to you twice there, good morning to everybody twice. Good morning, Miss Colleen. How about the sound? How's the sound today? Um, but thank you all for joining, live or on playback. I I absolutely adore you. And I pray for you, and I prayed right before that um this is not about me. This is a small channel, 4,000 subscribers. There are millions of things that you could be doing right now, but you're choosing to listen. You can reach out to me directly, by the way, through TrueWordfaithforLife.com. Truewordfaithforlife.com. And if you go, thank you, Miss Nicole. If you go to um blog up at the top, you can you can, I mean, it's a treasure trove. And I encourage you to do it. On the prior week, um, I've started doing a much higher level uh study guide, but the blog is much more personal. But if you click on the blog, you'll see the study guide. As you read down, you'll you'll see it. But also there's a way to contact me, and it's uh just contact the contact button. And as soon as I thank you, um Tubi continued 25, and thank you, Ms. Nicole. Uh so as soon as I've received your message, boom, uh I will get back in touch with you. So Joshua 3, verse 1. Much like us, Joshua rose early in the morning and and they came to the Jordan and lodged there before they passed over. Three days. Three days. Verse 2 says it. Three days camped on the bank, staring at the water. This is the Jordan in the spring. This is the Jordan in springtime. Joshua 3, verse 15 says it overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest. Snow melt from Mount Hermon is pouring down the valley. This isn't a creek you wade. It's fast, it's brown, it's over a man's head in places. And two million people, two million people with little kids, some babies, and old people. Little livestock and big livestock, and they have no way to cross. No bridges. Most of the people on that bank weren't born when the Red Sea parted. So, or maybe they were little kids, just real roll little kids when the Red Sea parted. You know, when they were they watched it happen when they were real living. A lot of living has happened since then. Every man 20 or older counted at Sinai had died in the wilderness, except Joshua and Caleb. And this generation grew up on the story. They grew up on it. They've heard the stories, you've heard me go on and on about how we wouldn't have our faith if it weren't for the Jews, we wouldn't, because they've told the stories. They've written things down, they've passed them on by mouth to ear to soul. So they grew up on this story. They'd heard, you know, around the fire, imagine they had campfires and they had conversations in the evening. That's how the community is. They'd heard it for years. 40 years. I mean, why wouldn't they have? Right? And now they're about to find out if their parents' God is their God too. I will tell you that's kind of a big thing. Kind of a big thing, y'all. Hey. Mom and daddy's God is one thing. Mom and daddy's faith is one thing. But what about what is your faith? So okay, yeah, God split the Red Sea. That's awesome. What do we do now? Because we all gonna drown in that water. First of all, freezing cold. Second of all, brown water. Can't see anything. It's rushing. The force of water is unreal. The hydrostatic pressure, the grap, the pure gravity of it coming down from the mountain. Most of us in our lives, in the lives we live now, are waiting on a sign. Maybe we're waiting on a bank of our own, the the river bank of our own. We're waiting on the bank for a sign. We say, Well, I'm just waiting on the Lord. When in reality, God's already gone first. He's already gone first. And he's looking back at us. You coming. In verse 3, as soon as you see the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God being carried by the Levitical priests, then you shall set out from your place and follow it. The ark goes first, not the army, not Joshua. The ark where God's presence sat enthroned. That goes first into the water. And verse 4 tells him to keep a distance, about 2,000 cubits. That's roughly half a mile. If you've ever read this passage, why? Why, you know, why they see you read it if you read it with an element of curiosity and you read it with an element of um, you read it with an element of you really, this sounds stupid to say it this way, but you read it, read it. You ever you ever be reading something and studying, not really studying, you're just reading, but then all of a sudden something slaps you right in the face. So wow! Right in the face, you're like, whoa, did I read what I thought I read? And then you're like, I'm gonna write this down. I am gonna write this down. And I'm gonna revisit this. This is one of those things. The ancient Near East was a wild place. This is where it's happening. There are no buckies to stop that along the way. Half a mile. Two thousand cubits. You know, we read it in our Bible, and we just buzzsaw through there. Just, you know, we're trying to take a box. But then you ever ask yourself why? Why? 2,000. Holy moly, that's that's about half a mile. Well, the verse answers that you may know the way you shall go, for you have not passed this way before. You've never been here before either. You've never been here. You. I'm talking about you. The diagnosis. The empty house, the acceptance of things are the way you think they are. Not the way you thought they'd be, but the way they are. Let me tell you something. That is a tricky realization. That's a hard one, you know. I don't know how old all y'all are. But I know this, I've been through a lot physically, intellectually, because of the physically, and I've been through a lot spiritually, and I can tell you this. This is just me being real with you. I think I bumped my head, bumped my head this morning again. But I have my glasses on. I have a vestibular issue from the brain injury and the spinal cord injury, and moving is tricky. Well, well, I think I scratch my glasses so often. It is what it is. I have to get them fixed. It's it's it's hitting me now. My my age, the age I feel is not the age that that I've felt before. I've always felt a lot younger then. Even though I've beat my life, living the kinetic life I've lived, I've just beat my body to death for different jobs and the military, and it's taken its toll. But the age I am now, I've never been here before. I've never had this feeling. And there are a lot of questions to God, you know, and maybe you can identify with this, but how about those people there? They had a lot of questions. I've never been through this, I've never walked a river like that. We've always been taught you don't cross a river like that. The water rushing, spring. But in life, in the real life that you're living right now, and I'm living right now, God's answer isn't a map. It's a presence. Capital P out in front, far enough ahead that everyone can see it. Verse five. Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you. Can you imagine? Come on, somebody. Can you imagine? Can you imagine? This is how you're this is this. God says to me, consecrate yourself, Sean Greener. For tomorrow the Lord's going to do wonders among me. You think I can go to sleep? There's not a chance in the world I can go to sleep. A half a mile. When you're talking about two million people, it's got to be that far enough ahead so that everybody can see it. Going up a hill all the way in the back. Hey, there it is. We're following that presence of God. Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you. The Hebrew here is Nefleot. Nefleot. Wonders. Things too hard for you. Things too hard for you. Before God does what you can't, he asks you, Hey, get ready. Get ready, get ready, get ready. Come on now, I'm fixing to do something big here. Verse 13. When the soles of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth shall rest in the waters of the Jordan. The waters of the Jordan shall be cut off. Read that in order slowly. Read it slowly. Verse 13 When the soles of the feet of the priest bearing the ark of the Lord, the soles of the feet, they're bearing the ark of the Lord. The Lord of all the earth shall rest in the waters of the Jordan. The waters of the Jordan shall be cut off. If you read that in order, it's the feet first, then the water stops. Verse 15 makes it painfully plain. As soon as the feet of the priests were dipped in the brink of the water, dipped, dipped, ankle deep, in a flood. Didn't nobody cross that river in spring? That might as well have been a wall thirty-five feet high. And thirty-five feet deep. Dipped. The word is dipped, ankle deep, in a flood, carrying the ark of God on their shoulders. Can you imagine the courage of those people? Can you imagine the faith of the people carrying that ark of the covenant, the presence of God? God doesn't part the river so you'll step. Oh, you might even want to write this down. God doesn't part the river so you'll step. God parts the water when you step. Verse 16. The waters coming down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far away, Adam, the city that is beside Zeraton. The word heap here is net. Neid. The same word Moses sang at the Red Sea in Exodus 15. Come on, somebody make the tether. It's the same word that Moses sang at the Red Sea in Exodus 15, verse 8. The flood stood up in a heap. The text wants you to hear it. Same God, new generation. Well, that was what my parents did. My parents, they were in the faith. They're all the time up in church, but that's before we had soccer for the kids and you know, softball for the girls, and and and baseball, you know, traveling, soccer, and traveling lacrosse and all that. We would be busy. We busy people. We don't have time. We want the presence of God. We want the presence of God in our lives. The modern day says look, I don't I'll just say it for me. Not modern day, I'm not gonna make it some Me. I don't love looking at my life and going, man, you have really failed. You have failed your potential. You have failed your gifting. You have failed the opportunity to do the right thing. But then my faith isn't my kids' faith. Either of them. It's not either one, no matter what I've done. Yeah, you want to set a good example. Oh, absolutely. For the ones that look at you and go, okay, if they're doing it, I'm I reckon I can do it.

No.

SPEAKER_00

But now it's you. And we look back on our lives and we look at her today and her yesterday, and we look at, man, am I because I I can speak for me. I know I haven't lived a life of holiness. I know that for sure. And if you know me, you know too. And here's the here's the tension in the Hebrew itself. The written text reads at Adam or Adam. The scribes' margin reads from Adam, and the older King James follows the margin. But the ESV, the English Standard Version, and the New American Standard Bible keep Ad Adam. Either way, the water stops about 20 miles upstream. Twenty miles upstream. The priests are standing in a river that's still draining away from them. There are records of the banks collapsing near that spot and damming the Jordan for hours, as recently as 1927. If God used the ground he made, the wonder isn't smaller. The wonder is the timing. It happened the very moment their feet touched the water. Now, somebody, somebody make the connection to three days. They were at the bank of the river, their deliverance into the promised land. They were there for three days. There had been the death of Moshe or Moses, and now Joshua, Joshua, Yehoshua. He's leading them. And now God in the Ark of the Covenant. Their feet have touched the water. And the water has stopped. The thing that was gonna kill them, kill them all, stopped. Verse 17, the priests stood firmly on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan until all the nation finished passing over. They didn't run across. They stood in the middle of the riverbed, holding the presence up until the last little child and the last Emma or grandmother or mother reached the other side. They lifted up the presence of God in faith until the last person was delivered. Now chapter four, God tells Joshua to pick up. Well, I call it a pickup game. Like in when you're in school, pickup game. A little bigger than that. In chapter four, God tells Joshua to pick twelve men, one from each tribe. Verse three, take twelve stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan, from the very place where the priest's feet stood firmly. Come on, somebody. Somebody get the somebody get what this means. Take twelve stones from here out of the midst of the Jordan, from the very place where the priest's feet stood firmly, not from the bank, not from the side, not from way back from the rushing water, from the riverbed, right in it. Somebody pick up these stones. Each of you, pick up 12 stones representing each of the tribes of Israel. Pick them up. Don't go up on the bank where it's safe and easy, doesn't take any faith. Pick them up right here, because we're going to memorialize what God did, and we're going to take something from right here, and we're going to remember it forever. Twelve stones. From the place where it would have killed you yesterday. Verse 6 When your children ask in time to come, what do these stones mean to you? In Hebrew, the question ends with one small word. To you. Not what do they mean in general? What do they mean to you? Listen, a memorial only teaches if it meant something to the one who set it up. Verse 19 gives the date. The people came up out of the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month. I go back to Exodus 12, verse 3. The tenth day of the first month is the day every household chose its Passover Lamb. Come on, somebody, make the link. Make the link to it. That's why all of this, all of what I'm doing here. This is why it's so important, not because of me, but because of God. God is showing you through this, He's teaching you. Oh, the Old Testament is the very foundation. Build it deep. The very foundation of our faith. And if we don't understand this, we will understand nothing of the New Testament. The tenth day of the first month is the day every household chose its Passover Lamb. Israel enters the land on the Lamb Day. And verse 24 says why God did all of it. So that all the peoples of the earth may know that the hand of the Lord is mighty, that you may fear the Lord your God forever. The river wasn't only for Israel. It was a message for this world. Listen, I'm going to say this quick and then we'll keep moving on. If you're watching on another platform other than the True Word, Faith for Life with Dr. Sean, S-H-A-W-N, YouTube channel. Go to the YouTube channel. It's one of about 4,000 followers. Click on subscribe. Click on the bell for all notifications. Hit the thumbs up while you're there. And if you've just arrived, you're standing at the edge of something. You're waiting for God to make it easy before you move. Stop waiting for God to make it easy before you move. We've been conditioned in this society, in this world, this modern, postmodern Western evangelical world, that God will make it easy. And that way you'll know. He'll make the pathway smooth. That way you'll know. That's not theologically correct. In fact, more often than not, the teaching comes through the struggle. The teaching comes through the struggle. The teaching comes from dipping your feet in the water before God makes the water stop. He says, look, dip your feet in it first. This is not going to be easy. It's going to require something of you. You say, I want a close relationship with God. I want to have what some people have, this. You got to get into this every day. You got to get on your knees in prayer. If you're able to physically get on your knees and pray every day, where do you think the relationship is going to come from? In the postmodern Western evangelical world, we have made it too easy on ourselves. We've made it so easy. We say, hey, the way you know is if God makes it easy on you. But that's not what is true, and that's not what theologically is accurate. Here's what the river says. If you're waiting for the water to move before you do, you're waiting on the wrong side of the miracle, my friend. You're waiting on the wrong side of the miracle. If you're waiting for the water to stop before you step in, you are waiting on the wrong side of the miracle. You're waiting on the wrong side of the deliverance. We hear that word a lot. We hear it so often. Our feet gotta get wet sometimes. The priests didn't get dry ground, and then they stepped. They stepped into a flood, and the ground around them dried under them. And notice why they stepped. Not because they felt brave. If you're waiting to feel brave, you're waiting on the wrong thing. Some of the craziest things I've done in my past careers, I didn't feel I didn't feel brave or courageous in the moment. Sometimes you just gotta do it. You just gotta go. You just gotta jump. You just gotta take the action. And there's no healing and there's no fixing right in front of you. You go, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Right there. You don't even see it. The deliverance, you don't even see it at the time. God says, just move. They didn't step because they felt brave. They stepped because God had spoken and said, do this. Faith isn't stepping into whatever water you pick. It's not about whatever water you pick, it's obeying what He said already. You know, we use words like holiness and obedience, following God, being a follower of the way. And we think, man, I can't say those words because then it sounds like I'm being judgy and sounds like I'm putting myself up on some sort of pedestal. Sounds like I'm saying that I'm doing it, that I'm worthy of it. And so we avoid those words. We avoid those words because you have a life like I've lived. And maybe a life how you've lived. And you say, I can't say those words because I know what I've done. Faith isn't stepping into whatever water you pick, it's obeying what he's already said, and that is in pursuit of holiness. We don't like that word. That word holds us to a standard that we are unwilling to live under. And I get it. I live it. Your step may be small. Your step may be small. Yours, right there. A phone call you know you need to make. One honest sentence to someone that you've hurt, showing up at a church you left a long time ago. And it will absolutely feel like ankle-deep water in a flood. And that's what it's like. That's what it felt like to them, too. All of those people, those two million people crossing the River Jordan when the waters are rushing down from the mountain and they're ice cold and they shock you. And they're dark and you can't see the bottom. And they stepped in. That feeling that you'll feel when you do that thing, whatever it is that you know you're supposed to do, that's what it felt like to them, too. And for those of you who have already crossed a hundred rivers, I want you to hear this. Are you listening? Your grandchildren don't have stones from your riverbed. They've never heard you say, here is what God has done for me. And if you don't have children, your friends, the people around you, you know, the ones, well, we keep politics and religion separate. We don't talk about those two things. And they've never heard the story of what God has done for you. Not preaching, telling your story. Faith you never tell out loud dies with you. Faith you never tell of out loud dies with you. Here's your step today. I don't care what age you are, pick one person younger than you: a child, a grandchild, a niece, a nephew, a coworker, somebody that you bump into before dark today. Tell them one specific time. One. Tell them one specific time God carried you across something. Name the river. Name what he did. And listen, if you can't reach them today for whatever reason, write it down. Two or three sentences, write it down. Put a stone on top of that paper and give it to them this week. Joshua's name is Jehoshua. The Lord saves Yeshua. Centuries later, another Yeshua came to the Jordan. John 1, verse 28 reads thus. Oh, can you imagine? John was baptizing across at Bethany across the Jordan. John Yochanan, his cousin, was baptizing at Bethany across the Jordan. Church tradition has long placed that spot near Jericho, close to where Israel crossed. Little things don't mean a lot. They mean everything. And the very next day, John 1, verse 29, John sees him. Coming and says, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Israel came up out of the Jordan on the day the Lamb was chosen, and at the Jordan, God's Lamb was named. The ark went first into the river, and the priest stood in the middle until everyone was across. That's what Yeshua did with death. Hebrews 6, verse 20 calls him our forerunner, the one who has gone ahead of us into the very presence of God. He went first through the deepest water there is, death itself. And he holds the way open until the last of his people cross. The one who went into the river first is the one who carries you across. Listen to this. Listen. You do not have to part the river. You only have to follow the one who went in first. I have for you today a challenge and a choice. You can stay on the bank another three days, another three years, waiting for the water to move. Or you can put your feet in. The river doesn't part for people watching it. It parts for people walking in. Are your feet dry or are they wet? Which are you? Because the river doesn't part with you standing on the edge of it. It parts for people walking in. Prayer is not asking for an easy journey, it's asking for a strong back. Pray with me. Father, we stood on the bank of our faith and our life for so long. We've called it waiting on you. And some of it was just plain fear. You went in first. The Ark. The Ark went in first. Yeshua went first. Into the river and into the grave. Almighty God, I ask that you give us the courage to put our feet in the water today. Before we see it move. I ask that you give us give us mouths. Let us tell the people behind us what you did for us. Let our children and grandchildren have stones from our riverbed of faith.

Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, Father, that you you never leave your people standing in the middle of the river alone. Thank you that you never leave us in the middle of a rushing river all by ourselves, Father God. Oh, for the water that rushes around our ankles. Thank you for the challenges that you showed us the way and we did it. Thank you for the lessons that you taught us through each of those things. And thank you for giving us a mouth that if we have the courage, we can tell others this is what you delivered us from. While our feet are still dripping from the river, and the feel of those smooth stones, those twelve smooth stones from the riverbed, we can still feel it on our hands. Oh Father God, thank you. Thank you for you. Thank you for delivering us. Thank you for giving us Yeshua. Thank you for giving us Rakhakadesh, the Holy Spirit. Thank you for giving us what we cannot do for ourselves. Thank you for giving us this word. Oh, this word. And all the blood that was spilled, and all the lives that were sacrificed on our behalf, on those that come after them, those they would never know. The courage and the faith of our fathers and our mothers, and the faith of little children whose feet are wet. I pray this in the name, the holy, matchless name of my friend, my redeemer, my savior and my king, your son, Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus the Messiah. Amen. I get it, man. I get it, woman. You're sitting there, you're listening to this, your face is wet with tears, and you're going, What do I do here? What do I do here? Because maybe the river in front of you is the biggest one yet. You've been watching faith from the bank your whole life. You've been waiting for proof before you step. Show me proof. And then I'll go. Show me proof and then I'll go. I don't want to get my feet wet until you split the waters. The Lamb of God is already going in first, my friend. And you can follow him right now. Not later. Not another time. Don't flip or switch or swish or swipe. Stay right here. And for the first time and the last time, pray this with me. Yeshua, I need you. I believe that you died and rose from the grave. And I need forgiveness from my sins, my hurts, my habits, and my hang-ups. You died for me and rose from the grave so I could have forgiveness from sin. I surrender my life to you today. Father, forgive me. Fill me. Lead me. My life is yours. I pray this in your heavenly, matchless name. Amen. If you prayed that prayer today, you just put your feet in the water. If you prayed that prayer today, you just put your feet in the water. You've established, hey, I'm no longer the person standing at the edge of the water. I'm in it. And my ankles are wet, but I'm standing and I'm searching for my 12 stones. Every day of my life. I want you to type crossed in either the chat if you're listening live or if you're listening on the playback. The word crossed. You crossed the river today. Type it in the chat, or if you're listening on playback, type it in the comments. Better yet, send it to me at true wordfaithforlife.com. Contacts. I will rejoice with you like you cannot imagine. I want you to tell one believer in your life. If you know somebody that's a believer, tell them this week. Don't wait. Don't mess around with it. Don't procrastinate one moment longer. Tell them. It doesn't matter how they respond, my friends. It does not matter. Because when you tell one believer this week, you have set your first stone. Tell the story of your faith. You don't have to understand all of it. Listen, the water doesn't part for the one. Listen, for the ones who watch, the water doesn't part. If you just watch, the water doesn't part for you. It parts under the feet of the ones who follow. The ones with wet ankles step in and tell someone what God did for you. And every day, write it down. The ways that God was with you, the way that God delivered you, the way that God sustained you. If God delivers me till tomorrow, tomorrow in Joshua 5 and 6, God tells an army to walk in circles around a wall and say nothing. You say, Oh man, I don't know the Bible. I don't know enough. I don't have the confidence in my knowledge of the Bible. I just came to Christ today. I don't, I can't testify. I can't tell anybody because then if they ask me a question, what do I do? What will I do if they ask me a question? No, no, no. You'll march around. You don't have to, God will give you what He needs to give you. Listen, this sounds so simple and so stupid, but it is so easy to share this message with someone who has been standing at the edge too long. I'm sure you can think of somebody, one person who has been standing at the edge of a rushing river. Tell them today, send this to them today. Trust me when I tell you, it isn't about me. It isn't about me. I've got so much to answer for. I'm not sitting here thinking, oh, the Lord is going to be impressed with me. If a thousand people listen to this today and they type crossed, Lord is going to be impressed with me. I'm going to win a toaster. No, no, no. No, no, no. If you've lived my life, you know. Nope. Nope. Listen, don't stand at the edge. Don't do it. Don't do it. Tomorrow is going to be a very powerful message. If the Lord delivers me to be able to deliver it, I know that He has given a very powerful message in His Word. I don't want you to miss it. In the meantime, I want to pray this blessing over you. And I'm going to pray it in what's called Lashon Hokadesh, which in Hebrew means the language of God, which is in fact Hebrew. Are you ready? Don't panic. I'm going to pray it in in Hebrew and then I'm going to pray it again in English. It's short. Don't panic. We're almost finished. We're literally seconds from being finished. Okay? Hang in there. You ready? Take a deep breath. Come on. Take a deep breath and receive this. Live or on playback, doesn't matter. Take this. I'm nobody special. Look, me praying this over you. I'm just a beggar who found bread, and I'm just trying to show you where the bread is. Are you ready? Take a deep breath. Come on. Shalom. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace today. Oh, the world is swirling. And you can have peace. You can have shalom today. If I'm here tomorrow, I hope you are too. In the meantime, shalom Bashem Yeshua.
