EPISODE 6 When Faithful People Push Back

Series: You Cannot Love Jesus and Slander Catholics and Jews!

If you’re exhausted by conflict, tired of Christian arguments, worn out by comment wars, and you’re trying to follow King Jesus without compromising truth, this episode is for you. You opened your phone for peace, and your feed handed you another fight.

Most Christians think they defend truth. But what if sometimes we’re actually defending ourselves? If that stings a little, you’re not being condemned. You’re being invited, because correction in the Bible is often mercy, not rejection.

Picture Jerusalem at dusk. A courtyard. A crowd. A moment where covenant truth lands like a mirror. Some receive it with humility. Others resist because identity feels threatened. That pattern repeats in every generation of God’s people, and it is repeating right now.

Tonight’s Wednesday deep study walks through why correction often meets resistance, especially when faith becomes social identity. You will learn the difference between discernment and defensiveness, why pressure reveals formation, and how repentance, teshuvah, is not humiliation but mercy and return.

PRACTICAL POSTURE TEST

When challenged, do you pray first or post first?

Do you listen slowly or label quickly?

Do you defend ego, or defend hope with courtesy, respect, and a clear conscience?

Primary Bible texts: Proverbs 12:1, James 1:19 to 20, Hebrews 12:11, 1 Peter 3:15 to 16, 1 John 4:20.

Tell me in the comments: Have you ever felt personally attacked when God was actually refining you? Type yes or no, and if you want, tell me what set you off. I’ll read a few as we go.
