In Luke 14:26, He says, “If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.” At face value, this seems completely at odds with everything else Yeshua taught about love, honoring parents, and family unity. Did He really mean that we should hate our families?
