Key Takeaways
- Many people fall into the trap of putting things off, using phrases like waiting on God as a euphemism for simple avoidance.
- In Joshua chapters 17 through 19, seven tribes delayed taking possession of the land they already owned because their hands had gone limp.
- True action requires three practical steps: walk it, write it down, and bring it to God instead of making endless excuses.
- Avoidance is rarely about laziness; rather, we put things off because confronting reality and walking into our calling will cost us something.
- Breaking a massive, overwhelming task down into one small, manageable first step helps eliminate fear and guarantees forward momentum.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do people keep putting things off?
People often put things off not out of laziness, but because facing difficult tasks, unresolved conflicts, or painful memories will cost them emotional comfort and effort.

In Joshua 18:3, Joshua challenges the Israelites by asking how long they will put off going in to take possession of the land God has already given them.
What is the Hebrew meaning behind letting things go?
The Hebrew word 'Rapha' means to go limp or let your hands drop, describing how people lose their grip on the gifts and responsibilities God has placed before them.
How can I stop putting things off in real life?
You can overcome procrastination by walking out the physical reality of the task, writing down a concrete plan, bringing it to God in prayer, and breaking the goal into a tiny first step.
It's still sitting there. Your brother's number in your phone. You haven't called him. You haven't called him since the funeral. Since everything everything blew up. You've rehearsed. You have rehearsed what you'd say. You know how you'd start. You've given it a ton of thought. What you don't know is whether or not he'll he'll pick up. Whether or not it'll answer. Pick up. We don't pick up the phone. Well, we kind of do. You don't know how that end of it's gonna go. And you don't know whether hearing his voice, hearing that voice on the other end. Maybe that's gonna stir up some. Maybe that's gonna open some wounds you've worked really, really hard to just keep closed. So you tell yourself, well, next week, I'm gonna do it next week. And every Monday, you mean it. Every Monday. You say, okay, Monday I'm gonna do it. And you mean it. But by Friday, it's next month. And you call it, Well, I'm waiting on God. You're praying about it. I'm praying. I'm just praying on it. I'm waiting on the Lord. You're I'm waiting for a sign, you know. All euphemisms for, uh I don't want to do it. But somewhere inside, you suspect God isn't the one who's waiting. There's a Hebrew word for what's happening to you. It means your hands have gone limp. Today in Joshua 17 through 19, Joshua uses that word on seven whole tribes, and his question lands right in your living room. Thank you for joining. This is true word faith for life with Dr. Sean. If you want to rip me off, just I'll hand you money and you tell me how much change I get back because I have no idea, no clue whatsoever. Miss Miss Colleen is legally in charge. So, for a reason. So I want to welcome you all. We're walking through the entire Bible in a year, and we're doing it one day at a time. We're walking the story of God. Today we're in Joshua 17 through 19. It's where seven tribes are still waiting on land they've they already own. By the way, welcome to all the visitors. I appreciate you being here at Live XAIDX2. I don't know if I'm even saying that right, but welcome. We're very polite here, treat each other very kind in the live chat. So if you're brand new here, you belong here. There's there's full archive, full archive, the free free Sunday blog, free Sunday. It's a group study guide, individual or group, and and that's every every resource that I've used in the week, every single source or resource that I've used in the week, boom, it's right there. And it's in there's annotated footnotes. There are also uh Torabian style um bibliography there. So if you ever say good day, oh, I guess you might be our Aussie listener. Uh so uh yesterday, by the way, we had we had someone listening from Russia. Isn't that cool? How cool is that? Impacting nation. That area of the world I have I have great love for, and I pray that they can find peace. We all know the way, the only way they're gonna find peace, but I pray that they find it. And so let me say this that um those study guides, the only thing I make it all copyable and pastable. The only thing I ask is that you copy all the way down to the copyright. Copyright's really important. Um you'll see it. You just copy the whole thing. And you can use it for your small group, your Bible study, um, you can anything, Bible college. Somebody let me know that hey, I'm gonna approach their church as a Bible college. I'm gonna approach my church about it. And uh, so awesome, you know. And uh anyway. All that said to say, welcome. All those resources are at Truewordfaithforlife.com. So every day, every day I have this, and every day I say, This one's easy, this one's hard. This one is there something God's put in front of you that your hands have dropped? Is there something that God has put in front of you that your hands have dropped? Type slack if there is, and type walking if you're moving. Slack if there is, something you've dropped, something God put in your hands, and you've dropped it. Or walking if you're moving, but you're not stuck. And still you're you're moving forward. So by now the major fighting is over. Oh, by the way. Hello, Miss Susan and Miss Linda. I saw you on there. I was wondering, yeah. So I see I see it differently, probably than you do. Um, I see all of the stuff. Thank you, Miss Nicole. God bless you for your honesty and your vulnerability. I see all of it. So you don't see there's a whole side of it. Anyway, it's silly. Um, if I can grow this channel large enough to generate income, then once I make enough income to pay for all the stuff, um, there's it's massive. You it's crazy. It's it's nuts. But um I'm gonna hire somebody to do those things so that I don't mess them up, uh, like scheduling and social media and all that stuff. But uh, I'm gonna hire an engineer to just I guess they call it a producer, uh, to do all of this stuff. So, but right now there's there's this block. So a lot of the comments you don't ever see. Some get through because they're tricky, but anyway. Doesn't matter. So by now. The major fighting is over. Hello, Azumi 1282. Welcome. Hello, Sean spelled correctly. God bless you as well. Happy Wednesday. I don't even know what day it is. I had to ask Miss Colleen. What day is it? I think I asked her yesterday. Changes, apparently, every 24 hours. I don't know. So, can you imagine living in a place where you've been fighting and fighting and fighting all this time? And Judah has its land in the south. Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, they have theirs in the middle. Seven tribes, they're still sitting in camp with nothing. So Joshua 18, verse 1, the whole congregation assembles at Shiloh and sets up the tent of meeting. Shiloh sits in the hill country of Ephraim, right in the middle of the land. God's house. By the way, if you have a Bible that, um, and you have a Bible and you have a Bible that has good maps, you always in the back. Um, I can't say always, I haven't seen every Bible in the world. I'd like to, but I haven't. Uh, you go there and you you can follow along. Uh that's a great resource of the ancient Near Eastern uh the map is wow. That will give you perspective. So, right in the middle of the land, God's house moves from the edge of the land to its center. Now, the same verse says the land lay subdued before them. The Hebrew word here is kirvash, karvash. It's the word from Genesis 1, verse 28. Fill the earth and subdue it. Karvash. Fill the earth and subdue it. Israel in the in the land is a picture of what humanity was always meant to be. People living with God at the center, working the ground he gave them. It's it was such an agrarian society. It was such an agrarian people group, working the land, making things grow, working through the cycles of rain and drought, wind and hail, raising livestock. The ground was everything. Everything came from the ground. And yet, you know, this was the ancient Near East, it was wild. Folks were fighting, you know, people from outside were fighting. It's a hard life. Can you imagine? I I have such love for farmers and for ranchers. It's hard work. A lot of risk, a lot of variables, but it's sun up past sunrise. So in the ancient Near Eastern world, a great king's land, we'll call it a land grant, was it was real. It was real the day he made it. But you still walked the borders and set the boundary stones, right? You put these stones. The gift was real. It had to be taken up. I I refer to something a lot when I'm talking to people called the the Aladdin Factor. And I'm I didn't invent that. It's it's in a book called The Aladdin Factor, and it's been talked about for quite some time. When I was in my undergrad as in psychology and counseling, and and um they talked about the Aladdin Factor. You know, you the genie is great. That's really great to have the genie, the genie, air quotes. Um, but the key is you don't get anything. Good morning, to be continued 25. Good to have you, brother. Um you don't get anything finding the lamp. You don't even get anything rubbing the lamp, right? The genie comes out, how can I help you, or whatever his voice is. I don't know, I imagine it that way. The Aladdin factors, you have to ask. You have nothing until you ask.
unknownRight?
SPEAKER_00Three wishes, they always say. But uh, I don't know what yours would be, but the fact of the matter of it is nothing, you get nothing until you ask. The Aladdin factor, you have to ask. You have not, because you ask not scripture, abused scripture, but a scripture nonetheless. Joshua 17, verse 3. Zelophad had no sons, only daughters. Mahla, Noah, Hogla, Melika, and Tirzah. I have a great niece named Tirzah. Years earlier in Numbers 25. I'm sorry, no, no, no, it was Numbers 27. See, I get the numbers. These five women asked Moshe or Moses why their father's name should disappear because they had no son. Maybe you were with us and you remember when they went and they said, Come on, Moshe. Our father, we we didn't have a son, but why? And dad is gone, and and so his name just disappears from the earth because there's no son. God said, The daughters of Zelephat are right. Now, verse 4 they walk up again to Eliezer, the priest, and to Joshua the Lord commanded Moshe, Moses, to give us an inheritance along with our brothers, and they got it. Pharaoh, they asked, they waited, and when the time came, they showed up and they claimed it. Come on, take a breath on that. They showed up and they claimed it now, the opposite. Verse 14 the people of Joseph came to Joshua and complained. Why have you given me but one lot and one portion as an inheritance, although I am a numerous people? Verse 15. If you are a numerous people, go up by yourselves to the forest and there clear ground for yourselves. They say, hey, there's not enough room. Joshua hands them an axe. Very often we want God to do the whole thing for us. Very often, there's some work for us to do. She mentioned uncomfortability. Listen, clearing clearing a clearing a forest or clearing part of a forest so that you can have grow crops requires an axe, and it requires swinging the axe, and it requires some hard sweat. Sometimes the answer to not enough room is an axe. I talked about yesterday. I've talked about it before. You know, if you have toxic people in your family or in your circle, sometimes you have to cut them out. I I I do um I answered a question. I kept getting this question around Thanksgiving a couple of years ago, I think it was. Maybe it was last year, I don't know. And uh no concept of time. Brain injuries, you know, they affect different things. For me, concept of time, numbers, calculations, all of that can't do a bit of it. Not even the most basic math. Two doctorate degrees, two master's degrees, bachelor's degrees, all this stuff can't do basic math. That's wild. It's wild. I have no concept of when it was. I'm thinking it was probably last year or the year before. Yeah. Anyway, I did an episode on that. It's all free. True Word Faith for Life with Dr. Sean. You can either check it out on my website. By the way, we've improved the player on the website, Trueword FaithforLife.com. There's a player there on the episodes. You click on that and click on any of the episodes. Well, we've improved the player. So it's um the company that I I pay to do that called Podpage, they improved it. I didn't prove it. Improve it, but it is much better. Remembers where you were. So it's audio only, so you don't have to look at this face. And um, yeah, it's pretty cool. It's all free. You don't pay a dime for it. So, are you guys ready to go a little bit deeper? Verse 16, they push back, as we do. The Canaanites have chariots of iron. Joshua answers with their own words in verses 17 and 18: You are a numerous people and have great power. The hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it, for you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong, you're big, so go. You're strong, so fight. That's the Dr. Sean translation. You're big. Go. Get in the fight, you're strong. Get after it. Now, chapter 18, verse 3. So Joshua said to the people, by the way, I forgot to even say. I'm the worst promoter of a book ever in lifetime. True word, faith for life. True word, faith for life. It's a beautiful book. It's textbook quality. I spent massive amounts of um, massive, massive amounts of uh of money on the paper, the special ink that won't make you sick. And uh there's lots of room. The print is large enough where you can actually read it, and there's room for you to write notes in it, and the paper will handle that. Hardback. I very rarely ever do hardbacks, but I did a hardback. Um, they said textbook quality, okay. And the image on the front is an image I shot. So there you have it. I shot that with my good buddy um Jerry and Myra, who just got back. Jerry and Myra just got back from Europe doing a book tour. He's written great, great books. Um, very, very deep, excellent books. Anyway, uh Givegod90, I think.com. Givegod90.com. I think, I think that's what it is. Givegod90.com. All his books are there. Anyway. So, chapter 18, verse 3. So Joshua said to the people of Israel, How long will you put off going in to take possession of the land? Which the Lord, the God of your fathers, has given you. Oh, come on. Somebody. Somebody. Look at modern Israel and go, wait a second, the Lord gave you all of this, but you only have a piece the size of New Jersey? Are you kidding me? And yet everyone around you, mostly Ean. Um, and you think, well, no, no, no, it's Lebanon, it's it's it's uh it's uh Gaza, it's the West Bank. That's all Judean Samaria. God gave Israel that, and Israel, under pressure from the world, gave it to them, and they turned it to crap because the culture of death. They're also free. You can listen to them anytime. You generally click on the live tab, that'll all be there, and it's free. So has given you, has given you already, and they're still in the camp. Oh, sometimes we want to be comfortable, we don't want to do the hard thing. Yeah, God, you gave me this, but I gotta sweat for it. My part is hard, it's it's it's challenging, it's a little bit scary sometimes. The English Standard Version and the New American Standard Bible say, put off. The old King James says, How long are ye slack? Actually, in this instance, that's that's closer to the Hebrew. The word is Rapha, to go limp, to go slack, to let your hands drop. Remember that word from Joshua 1 and in verse 5? God told Joshua, I will not leave you. Literally, I will not let you go slack. I will not let you drop. Y'all remember. We're on a journey here together, and things connect. This is why I'm teaching this way. From the ancient Near Eastern language culture and context, and it's a blessing to do so. I I once I learned this, my whole life changed. My faith, my faith grew exponentially, and it and it still does to this day. God never let his his grip go limp on Israel. Israel, Israel let itsrael let its grip go limp on the gift. God already gave it. You still have to walk into it. So Joshua gives them a plan. Never leaves us. Good morning, Maria. Joshua gives them a plan. Verses four through six: three men from each tribe walk the land. Write a description of it, bring it back, then I'll cast lots for you here before the Lord our God. Wow, that's a plan. Verses four through six. My woman, write this down. Three men. You may say, Well, it sounds like it's not that important. Three men from each tribe walk the land, write a description of it, bring it back, then I'll cast lots for you here before the Lord our God. Walk it. Write it. Bring it to God. Hey, listen, how often do I tell you to write something on a little piece of paper? Write it on a post-it note. I'm not I hate to say that because then those people get mad at me. We don't agree with what you're doing. Zionists, I don't know if they're like that or not. I don't know what they're like. But anyway, get you a little notebook and write it down. Walk it, write it down, walk it and pray. And uh Miss Conling doesn't know this, but well, yeah, she does, because I said some of it out loud. But I was walking and praying, consecrating the places to God, each of the places we were, one of the places in particular I had a sense of peace, despite some elements of it not being as peaceful as I would have liked. One of them I had great personal physical peace about, emotional peace about. Turns out that's not the one. Emotions. They lie to us, right? Feelings. Sometimes when we write it down, we walk it and we write it down, we walk it and we pray and we write it down. I talked yesterday about journaling. Journaling is amazing. My son and daughter in all gave me this pen, and uh it's a special fountain pen. It's called a lamy, lamy, I don't know, L-A-M-Y. They're not a sponsor, so I don't have any sponsors. So, anyway, um, they gave me this thing, it's a journal, and I write in it. I used to journal all the time. I had piles and piles of journals, and then we moved, and I had boxes actually of journals. And I was a prolific writer. I wrote all the time. My mind just never shut off. Amen, Miss Kelly. Um, it just never shut off. And so as a result, you know, I wrote a lot, and from that came hundreds of songs and poems and short stories, plays, and um, and then just commentary, you know. A lot of this it comes from that. But one of the moves we did, I had to throw a lot of that stuff away. Sometimes you gotta pair back, you gotta cut it, it feels like to the bone. Sometimes a new start requires that. And that's okay. At first I really grieved it, but then I realized those were my thoughts then. God will not depart from me. Only I can depart from him. He has thoughts that he wants me to write down, I'll write them down. Walk it. Walk it. Write it, bring it to God. By the way, if you're on any other platform, if you're listening on any other platform, uh, Facebook dropped off. And I apologize to our Facebook audience, this is why I always say when you're streaming to seven or nine different locations at the same time, sometimes those locations uh will institute some new rule and it'll pop into effect, and you pop off, you know? And sometimes it'll work perfectly, but sometimes it just is jacked up. So, like we're streaming to a bunch of places, but Facebook just didn't work today. My point is this is that that's why it's so important. YouTube, Dr. It's true word, faith for life with Dr. Sean, S-H-A-W-N. We have about 4,000 subscribers. Click on subscribe, click on the little bell. Nobody's gonna ask you for money. Click on the little bell, click on the thumbs up while you're at it. Or like button, whatever. It's thumbs up. That's important. If it wasn't important, I wouldn't ask because it drives me crazy to ask. Chapter 14. Verses 49 and 50. When the land was distributed, Israel, by the way, this is how screwed up I get. Um, as an aside, just concept of time and and uh calendaring. Calendaring is maintaining a calendar, maintaining a schedule. And part of my brain injury, I have a three-phase brain injury, right? And I and I have had multiple head injuries. So this basically is what's left of my mind and my brain. And um one of those pieces is calendaring, keeping a schedule. So I went a whole day early to speech therapy. It's actually today. So I arrived there and I'm all happy, Mr. Happy Pants checking in. And she goes, Oh, honey, oh, she's checked me in before this lady, and and uh, oh honey, it's not today, it's tomorrow. How about I print this out for you? Well, sometimes even printing it out is in my phone. It was in my phone correctly. I just went the wrong day. It's a big deal for me to travel. I don't know if you know that. You know, going places and getting places, it's there's a lot to it. You know, it's not like, oh, I think I'll pop over to so-and-so. No, no, no. There's a lot of thought that has to go into it in order for me to be able to do it. Blah, blah, blah. I go there today. I'll speak better tomorrow because I was with Miss Joy today. Anyway, chapter 19, verses 49 and 50. When the land was distributed, Israel gave Joshua his inheritance. By command of the Lord, they gave him the city he asked for, Timnath Serah. And he rebuilt it, and he lived there. The man who led every battle waited until every tribe had its land. Come on, somebody. Anybody go and think about what that might mean? anybody? The man who led every single battle waited until every other tribe had its land. Verses 49 and 50 of chapter 19. When the land was distributed, Israel gave Joshua his inheritance. Maybe you've been ticking boxes trying to get through the Bible in a year and you miss that. The first part of it tells you a big, big thing. When the land was distributed, Joshua, the guy leading the whole deal. He waited until everybody else had their part of the inheritance. And then Israel gave Joshua his inheritance by command of the Lord. They gave him the city he asked for, Tim Natherah. And he rebuilt it. And he rebuilt it. And he lived there. Think about this. He's the guy. When when they're going into battle, literal battle. He's the guy that's at the front. He's leading every battle. And he went through all of that for years. And yet he waited until every tribe had its land. Listen, we we can be the leader of something and lack humility. We c we can have superior intellect and feel like we're above everyone else. And we want our stuff first. No, no, I'm I'm the man. I'm in charge. The one who led them. He took his inheritance last. Look, if you just landed here, if you just got here, and you're like, what in the world? I don't know anything about what's happening here. God has already put something good in front of you. And you keep putting it off. Joshua 18 verse 3 asks, how long? Maybe it's the call. Maybe it's that garage you gotta deal with. Maybe it's that last will and testament that you know you need to write for your kids' benefit. For your friend's benefit. Whoever is gonna be left behind and have to deal with your stuff. You don't want to deal with it. Maybe it's the business. Maybe it's the job. Maybe it's the talk with your sister, your brother, your son or daughter. The talk that you need to have. Some of that you've called waiting on God, right? That great churchy euphemism, I'm just waiting on the Lord. And sometimes it is. Sometimes we have to wait. Listen, I talked yesterday. Caleb waited 45 years, but Caleb was ready the day the door opened. But he waited 45 years because that was the timing. Waiting on God is absolutely faith. Don't get it twisted here. Slow down, slam dancer, if you're already gone to that thought. No, no, no. Waiting on God absolutely is faith, truly waiting on God. Putting God off is something entirely different. Here's why the garage stays shut. Twenty-five years of memories. And opening one box means an afternoon of grieving. The call stays unmade because they might not pick up the phone. The will stays in the drawer because writing it means admitting you won't be here forever. Avoidance doesn't work. Do it for them. We don't put things off because we're lazy most of the time. We put them off because walking in will cost us something. Joseph had chariots of iron. You've got yours. And Joseph Joseph Joseph. Joshua. Joseph had chariots of iron. You've got yours. And Joshua didn't give them a pep talk. He didn't. And he didn't give them a pep talk. Look, sometimes we would rather look give me the pep talk. Don't make me do the hard thing. Just the pep talk. That's all I want. Ten minutes, five minutes. How about two minutes? One? Can you do one? Joshua didn't give them a pep talk. He said he gave them three steps. Write action steps. Walk it. Write it. Bring it to God. The Joseph tribes, they didn't need more land. They needed an axe. And they needed a mourning. So here's your step today. Sounds so simple. I know. Sounds so simple. Walk it. Write it. Bring it. Pick the one thing that you've put off the longest. And before dark today, walk to it. Go stand in the garage and make that list. This is how I'm gonna do it. This is when I'm gonna do it. Here's the time I've set. Sit down at the desk with the last will and testament notes. Write it out. Your family will be so grateful. Pick up the phone. Pick the phone up. Make the call. You don't know that you're gonna make it to the afternoon. Listen, I was on my way home. I'm a guy that's have survived unbelievable things. And a drive home. I wasn't doing anything wrong. Car gone 92 miles. Well, they're going 109. When they lost control, they jumped a median and they hit me head on. 92 miles per hour versus 51. 51 miles per hour to zero and seven feet, if you can imagine those G's and that deceleration trauma. You don't know that you're gonna make it to the afternoon. Do it now. Then I want you to write down one first step. Make it small enough that you'll know when it's done. So important for us to see our accomplishment. What well, I don't know what day we're at. I think day 142. We're at day 142. Did you ever think at day one we would even ever be here? And I do the air quotes when I say the Bible in a year, because I I don't think it's gonna take a year. I think it's gonna take more than that. Every time that I've and I'm I'm not as fast now as I was. I used to have this brain that I could look at a page, the whole page, and I could read it. The whole page at once. Um, I was born with it. I don't know why I was born with it. I was two and a half months premature, it was 2.6 pounds. I had a lot of deficits physically, but for whatever reason, my vision was extraordinary, and my ability to take in what was on the page or take in what was in front of me and notice everything was off the charts, literally off the charts. So I could I could actually read two books at the same time, side by side. You put them side by side. I could read them, kid you not. I've done it many times. I was born with that. I I can't take credit for it. I was born with it, and I abused every gift that I had. Make no mistake. Here I am at 61 years old. I've abused every gift and every opportunity ever put in front of me, except for this. And I'm doing my dead level best to try to give this the honor that it deserves. Doing this. You might say, well, it's just a stupid podcast. Well, it's everything I got. I'm giving it everything I got. I'm doing it for God and I'm doing it for you. Write down the least you can do is just write down one first step. Sometimes we make that step so large that we say, I can't do it. It's too big. And so we don't do the rest of the part. Ms. Nicole, sometimes we sit in front of the will and the paperwork and we and we go, this is so large. You can't eat an elephant all in one bite. Don't eat an elephant. I love elephants, but the point is they're big. Don't try to eat one all in one bite. Don't eat one. That's my advice. But the point is made. Break the big thing down into a smaller thing. And then you'll know when it's finished. Oh, come on. If you have a relationship that's not, it's not toxic, it's not poisonous to you, it's just you've let it drop. You didn't let it drop because it wasn't enriching. You didn't let it drop because maybe, maybe the relationship is with the person that you need to have the conversation with. Maybe you you let it drop because that person held you accountable and you didn't like it. Work on the relationship. That's kind of like a wish. We don't make wishes. Send a message first. Hey, will you talk with me? That's a real step. And then if that person, your brother, your sister, your mother, that person, if that person says yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And you talk. Look, if it goes sideways, just be gracious. Don't yell and scream. Just say, you know what? I just, I really wanted to see if it would work to repair this. Own your part. But don't follow up your owning your part with, but you, no, no, no. Just you. You handle your part. That's a step. That's a real step. When I say write it down, bring that paper to God. You say there's post-it notes all over my house, Dr. Sean. Come on. Listen, there's post-it notes on most of my doors. There's one on that door. There's one right by the front door. There's one on Miss Colleen's mirror. There's one on the door going into the bedroom. There's some on our cabinet. Look, write it down. And then bring it to God. Bring that paper to God out loud. It's not some sort of, I don't know, ritual or whatever. It's something physical when you break thoughts that are in our head and you actually get a piece of paper and you write it down. I can barely write. I have three thank you notes that I that I need to write to two, two very dear people and another person who I really need to thank them for what they've done. The two people, you know who you are. I can't hardly write. I didn't sign things last night or write something. Uh Miss Colleen was, or whatever it was, because I couldn't write. I simply couldn't write. It's that simple. Physically, I have a spinal cord injury, and physically, sometimes I just can't write. And when I can, it is a huge challenge. Huge. Write it down. And bring that paper to God out loud and take one step before you go to bed. Listen, I'm not asking you to take a thousand steps. I'm asking you to take one step, one step, step one. Not all of it, one. Let's bring this to Yeshua. Joshua took his inheritance last, everyone else first. That's a shadow of the greater Yeshua. Mark 10, verse 45. For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. You, you are the many. Yeshua never put anything off. Luke 9, verse 51 says that when the days drew near for him to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem. He knew what waited for him there. He knew, but he went anyway. Isaiah used our word. Isaiah 35, verse 3. Strengthen the weak hands, the Fa hands, slack hands. And Hebrews 12, verse 12 picks it up. Lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees. On what strength? On what strength? Verse 2, looking to Yeshua, the founder and the perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before them, for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross. His hands never went slack. They put nails right here. It's translated incorrectly. They didn't put nails here. These bones would never, I talk all about this in an episode. They this would just rip through. The body weight would just rip through. So they put it between the two arm bones right at the wrist, if you can imagine. His hands never went slack. They were nailed open. And on that cross, he said, It is accomplished. John 19, verse 30. What you're afraid of facing, he already faced. And the years you've lost putting it off, bring those to God. The promise you broke, the apology you owe, confess it and receive his mercy. He doesn't hand you a bill for the wasted years. He hands you today how many ever hours or minutes or seconds of today that you have. Now he takes your limp hands and he says, walk in. 2 Corinthians verse 2. Behold, now is the favorable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation. Today is the day God has given you. Or you can admit your hands have gone slack. You can complain like Joseph that there isn't enough room. Or you can pick up the axe. You can sit in camp like seven tribes with a gift that they never walked into. Or you can be like five sisters who asked God, waited on God, and when the day came, walked up and claimed it. You can. You can let one more Monday turn into one more month. Or you can walk into it, write it down, and bring it to God today. The land is already given. How long will you put it off? Prayer isn't asking for the for the easy journey. It's asking for a strong back. Adonai. You never let your hands go slack. You never let your hands go slack on us. Forgive us for letting our hands drop. For dropping the ball, for calling it waiting when really it was fear. For complaining there isn't enough room when you handed us the axe already, and it was sharp. All we had to do is do the work. Thank you for the daughters of Zolofahad, who asked and then showed up. I ask that you make us like them. Give us the courage for the phone call that we don't want to make, for the apology we don't want to make, for the hard conversation, the first step. Take our slack hands and your strong hands and strengthen ours. Thank you for Yeshua. I don't know how to thank you more than every day throughout the day. Thank you for Yeshua, who set his face toward Jerusalem and never put off the gruesome work you gave him. Walk with us into what you've already given. I pray this in his matchless name, the name of Yeshua Hamashiach, your son, our Redeemer, the Redeemer of the world. Jesus Christ. Yeshua Hamashiach. Oh, what a beautiful name. Amen. Maybe the thing you've put off longest is God Himself. You've said someday. Someday I'll get serious. Someday I'll place my faith in him, but today's not the day. Well, I'm here to tell you, today is the day. Today is the day. Don't wait another moment. Pray this prayer with me. Heavenly Father, Yeshua. Jesus, I need you. I believe you died and rose from the cross. You rose from the grave. You were buried. And yet you live. I ask that you forgive me of my sins, my hurts, my habits, and my hangout.
SPEAKER_01I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me. Fill me. Lead me.
SPEAKER_00I'm yours. In your matchless name. Amen. Listen, if you prayed that prayer today and you meant it, you didn't put it off. You didn't put it off. You handled it. And you're to be commended for that. Type today in the chat or the comments below so we can pray for you by name. Then I want you to tell one believer you know. Everybody knows a believer, at least one. Tell one believer that. Tell them what you did. I'll help you find a church. If you can't find a church, a good church, a church family that opens scriptures and reads them for real and loves Israel. I'll help you. Let me say this. Listen, if you if you pick a person to tell their picture, they pop, their face popped into your mind when I was saying, tell one believer that, you know. Listen, you may tell them. And they may not respond, they may not respond in a beautiful way like you'd hoped. That's okay. Don't get in an argument with them. Don't get in a debate. Look, they knew you when. They knew you when you were running the streets. They knew when you were a cheater. They knew when you did whatever. They knew it. And they forgot that God forgave them of that and remembered their sins no more, but they're going to remember your sins. God isn't your family. God isn't your parents. God is God and He doesn't operate that way. Get a hold of me through True Word Faith for Life, true True Word Faith for Life.com. Contact. I'll help you. As soon as I get it, I'll help you. Listen, the land was given, the tent was set up, five sisters asked, and they showed up. And an old leader waited until everyone else was home. Someone you love keeps saying someday. Yeah, they do. Someone you love keeps saying someday. Send them this episode today. Send them the link. And tell them that the land has already been given. And and for you. His number is still in your phone. Right? God is always there for you to pray to. Conversations with God. Doesn't have to be elaborate, doesn't have to be long, just has to be respectful. I do a whole teaching on how to pray, right? Because prayer is in study after study, people say, well, you know, understanding the scriptures, number one, and I handle that, I help you with that. And then number two, how to pray. Well, I tried to help handle that too by doing an episode on prayer. It's all free, a true word, faithful life. With Dr. Sean, S A W N, YouTube channel, about 4,000 subscribers. It's all free. I keep all the episodes. I don't get rid of any, even the poor performing ones. That's they say that's the kiss of death because it drives your numbers down. It's there for a reason. Hey Stephen, God bless you. Thank you. Thank Jesus for another day. Amen. Amen. Thank you for joining us. Listen, that brother, sister, um, cousin, whoever, friend, their number's still in your phone. You can't, you don't know whether they're going to answer or not. You know you need to call them. You decide whether you call. Listen, it's a decision you make. Lift your hands, pick up the axe and walk it, write it, and bring it to God. Not all of it, not all of it at once. Step one. Remember one step at a time. Now, I want you to receive this blessing. I want you to receive this in his heavenly name and in Lashon Hokkadesh, the language of God. I'm gonna pray it over you first in Hebrew. Lashon Hokkadesh is the language of God is Hebrew. That's the language he spoke to his people in. That's the language his people spoke to him in. There's something very, very special. Amen, Sean. Please forgive us, Father. Amen. The language of God. I'll translate it at the end. It's not very long. Hang in there. We're almost finished. I want you to take a deep breath. This is just not a throwaway thing at the end that I just do. I'm literally praying this over you. I'm nobody special. I just believe and know with all my heart. Take a deep breath. Are you ready? Vikunaka. Shalom. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Until tomorrow at 7 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Until then. Shalom Bashem Yeshua. Shalom Shalom.
