Key Takeaways
- A long, difficult fight or season in your life does not mean you are losing; it may mean you are actively walking into your inheritance.
- When God told Israel to burn the chariots and horses instead of keeping them as a tactical advantage, it was to teach them to trust in the Lord rather than military might.
- A gift that takes years to walk into, such as Israel's seven-year conquest of the land, is still a gift from God.
- When you are old and feel there is still much land left to possess, God does not accuse you of failing to finish, but promises to fight for you.
- Writing down past battles God has brought you through helps you recognize that many victories were already won before the fight even started.

You thought it would be over by now. The diagnosis was supposed to be just a season. And it's been four years. Maybe it's your spouse. You've been together twenty-five years. And some mornings. Some mornings you don't. They don't even recognize you. You love 'em. But you are so tired and away that sleep just doesn't help. Maybe it's the business. You've been one good quarter away. One good quarter. One good quarter. You're so close. One good quarter away from being able to take a deep breath finally. After six years slogging away. You get up before the sun, you carry the payroll in your chest. And you still come home smelling like somebody's moldy basement. And the whole ride home, you feel like you just wonder, am I failing my family yet again? Maybe it's your children. You prayed for them for so long. The words feel worn, smooth. And under all of it is a question you just don't say out loud. If God was really in this, wouldn't it be over by now? Today we watch a war that ran far longer than anyone expected. And we hear what God says to an old man with a lot of land still left. This is true word, faith for life with Dr. Sean. I'm Sean. Welcome. I'm so glad to have you here. It's a pleasure and an honor. And uh it means a lot to me. So what are we doing here? We're walking through the entire Bible in a year. One day at a time. Joshua 11 through 13, where conquest ends and the inheritance begins. You don't need a single past episode to belong here, by the way, if you're just coming in. Um the only thing I ask is if I make it so that you can copy it on true wordfaithforlife.com. True wordfaithforlife.com. All I ask is that you when you copy it, you copy all the way down to the um copy the the copyright information. That's all I ask is free. Otherwise, everything on the website's free except for I don't know, I don't know where my book is. I'm the worst book salesman ever in the world. This is um essentially my second book, True Word, Faith for Life, and uh textbook quality, I think 60 or 80 pound paper print that won't make you sick. Lots of margin, and it's printed big enough where you can actually read it. You don't have to have bionic eyes. And um, I mean, you'll you you're gonna need you're gonna need these, but you're also uh fair warning, don't be drinking your hot coffee or whatever, your tea. Your matcha. Uh, don't be drinking that and uh reading at the same time because you know sometimes you're gonna laugh hard, you're gonna spit it out, or it's gonna go through your nose. That's never any good. Nobody wants that. Hi, Miss Tammy. Hi, Sean spelled correctly. Hey, to be continued 25. Good to see you, brother. Good to be back. Hi, Miss Nicole. Good 4 in the a.m. morning to you, where you're listening. Uh hello, Miss Susan. So so nice to see you all. How lovely. What a delight. What a delight you all are. So, anyway, the free archive, free Sunday blog study guide. By the way, I have been asked, some people have said, Well, where's the study guide? I only see blog. That is that. You click on that, the blog is first. Blog's more personal. I try to make that sort of a letter from me to you. And then the study guide is all the nuts and bolts that I put into the week prior. Okay. And then and it goes in deep. It gives you every single resource that I used. Um, I have an annotated um footnotes and then a Terrabian style um bibliography. So it's pretty in-depth. There's graphs and all that stuff. So anyway, truewordfaithforlife.com. Also, lock in to the YouTube channel, True Word Faith for Life with Dr. Sean. Uh, it's the one with about 4,000 subscribers. Click on subscribe, hit the little bell. Look, I wouldn't ask if it wasn't important. It's vitally important. Nothing happens here. More happens when you do that. Hit uh subscribe, hit the little bell for all notifications, and then hit the thumbs up. I wouldn't ask if it weren't important. Seriously. By the way, listening live last night, our first day back, were 1,600 people. Isn't that something? What a blessing. And you all were probably some of them. Hello, but why714. Um, good to have you here. And uh so the question for either chat or by the way, how is the sound? I don't hear, my hearing has gotten much, much worse. I wear hearing aids and um and they help me hear better, but I can't wear them wear them when I'm hearing this. So all I can do is turn the in-ear monitors up. Um, and that just enables me to hear a little bit of the music and I can look at the number and kind of guess. Uh, because we have this little thing over here and it has numbers on it. Anyway, I don't know. So I depend on you guys to tell me if it's good, and uh hopefully it is. Anyway, here is the question for you in the chat. Music is a little loud in the background. Yeah, this one, this one, uh I know which one is playing now. This is called Sentiments of You by Hanna Ekstrom. She's one of my favorite composers, and uh yeah, she's really, really good. She's an amazing violinist. So um, thank you, Miss Tammy. And um then the one after this is uh Trollmore of the Volksong. It's um Norwegian. Anyway, I'm a little bit addicted to beautiful violin music and piano music. Anyway, blah blah blah. So the question for the chat and for comments below. Um you don't have to answer it. I mean, nobody can compel you. I can't come to your house. I could come to your house, but I'm not gonna. Um, is the fight you're in right now longer than you thought it would be? Is the fight you're in right now the struggle? I know some of you are in the midst of a great struggle. And is it longer than you thought it would be? You say, Man, I'm getting tired. I'm worn out. I've I'm worn out. But some of you, for some of you, it's longer than you thought it would be. Type longer if it is, and type done if you've come out the other side. Uh, you know, you're through it. You're through it. Uh, and then just type done. Anyway, you know, uh somebody finally, somebody thank you, Sean spelled correctly. Somebody finally said the quiet part out loud. Um, they said to me, I thought you were terminally ill. Like, I could swear you were turn, you said you were terminally ill. Yeah, yeah. Why haven't you died yet? Sorry to let you down, bruh. You know? Uh, but uh for whatever reason, God has preserved me and uh I'm happy about it. And we're keeping on living and we're keeping on trucking, and and we're gonna live every breath of every day. Right now there's a fly in the studio, which is driving me insane. You all know I don't, I don't, I don't be uh I don't be putting up with no flies up in the residence. I'm not afraid of bugs or any of that kind of thing.
unknownYou know.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, so so last week, and by the way, it is great to be back. Uh last night's message, um, I would encourage you to listen to it because it kind of helped you catch up, you know, and see where we were two weeks ago before uh I uh went on a little bit of a hiatus. Um trying to recover a little bit. Anyway, I hope you'll I hope you'll consider listening to it if you if you weren't able to listen. Um it's it's not short, it's one hour and 16 minutes long, I think. Now, don't panic when you listen on YouTube. I'm gonna go cut out all that blah blah blah in the beginning. I'll edit all that out. Um, but anyway, see that flog that fly landed on me. Better watch out. I'll smack myself right in the head trying to kill it. It's worth it. Anyway, then I'll have fly guts all over me, which would be gross. Anyway, so last week Israel crossed the Jordan. Remember what we said angles deep. It was flood season. Flood season. I mean, that water was rushing. We watched Jericho fall. And we defended uh Gibeon. Israel defended Gibeon while the sun stood still. That was the south, now the north wakes up. Amen. Miss Nicole says, Done, but before longer. Amen. That was the south, now the north wakes up. Yep, yikes. Joshua 11, verse 1. Jabin, king of Hazor, sends out word. By the way, Hazor wasn't a it wasn't a village. It covered about 200 acres, the largest city in Canaan. Sometimes people freak out. They're like, how is there so much talk about mountains? And we look at Israel now, and the mountains aren't they're not actually mountains, they're not giant mountains. Well, it's different. The way they measured things was different then. What they called things was different. So city could be 200 acres. So it's its name, Hazor. Uh, its name turns up in letters from Mari on the Euphrates in the Amarna letters. It's also mentioned in the Amarna letters written to Pharaoh's court. Joshua 11, verse 10 calls it the head of all those kingdoms. Hazor, uh, there's coalition brings one thing Israel didn't have chariots. They didn't have chariots. Well, that's a big deal. You gotta have horses, gotta have craftsmen. You're running on a chariot, running about 20, 30 miles an hour. You know, you're not gonna wanna, you're not gonna want to uh have a wheel come flying off. So that you had to have engineers, you had to have master craftsmen, and they didn't have chariots. Joshua 11, verse 4. They came out with all their choo their troops, a great horde. I always like that word. A great horde. A number like the sand that is on the seashore, with very many horses and chariots. The chariot, I'll just tell you, was the tank of the day. Israel was on foot. They didn't have chariots, I'm telling you, they didn't have chariots. I'm just the messenger. The opponent had chariots. Israel had already been told the land was theirs. Joshua 1, verse 3. Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon, I have given to you. Given. Past tense. God said, everywhere your feet touch, I've given to you already. In the back. In the past, past tense. Come on. Israel's fighting to just to keep what they have now. People are saying, well, you know, you need to just give up the land. Well, they did. There'll never be peace. Not with these people. There'll never be peace. They want to destroy Israel, kill all Jews. It's in their own holy book. When I've said to people before, when I've when I've recited the Quran to people who are Muslims or defending Muslims, they're like, uh, it doesn't say that. And then I show them. And then I'm like, oh, it doesn't mean that. Well, yeah, it does. And then they say, well, kill all Jews. They don't care. Then immediately you find what they're really about. It's real. Anti-Semitism is not on the rise. It is it is exploding. And it's for no other reason than the demonic behind. People will tell you all kinds of horrible things that you'll be expected to believe about the Jewish state. Why do people praise God but not Hitler? I don't know. But that's dumb. See you later. Dumb question. Honest questions I'll take all day long. Dumb questions. Somebody in some new person in chat. Which we love new people. But uh they asked why do people praise God but not Hitler? Stupid. Anti-Semite. So he's given the land. God's given the land everywhere your feet touch. Imagine that. I'd go for a nice long walk. What about you? I'd let my feet touch a whole lot of places. As it is now, Israel's only about the size of New Jersey, the state of New Jersey in the United States. The land is a gift. And the gift has to be walked into one valley at a time. I remember as a kid, you know, I grew up in the country, like country, country. And I I always described as this. I grew up in the country, but at the ocean. Right? All you had to do was walk down to Love Creek, which wasn't that far. That's what it was called. Um, and then get in a boat, and then just a very short ride, go up Love Creek, and then you see the mouth of the bay, and then you go through there, and then you you, you know, there's an inlet, and if your boat will handle it and you're blessed enough, you go through now, you're at the ocean. Couldn't take long. It was faster than driving in the summertime. But I grew up with fields, cornfields, soybean, you know, alfalfa. I just grew up with it all surrounding my house. Not my house, my parents' house. And then there was woods, and then the woods went down into a little bit of a boggy sort of swamp. You don't want to get caught in there. You would you would get sucked in. There were certain streams in there that he would swear was quick quicksand. I mean, for real. I was a little kid and I wandered all over that place, man. I had all kinds of adventures in those woods. I would go in there and I'd sneak up on deer. Sometimes deer would sneak up on me. I'd see all the squirrels, sometimes foxes, rabbits, you name it. I got to wander away all around the place. Everywhere my feet touched, they were my kingdom. Ever the adventure. Well. Sometimes there were peaks and valleys in there. I remember uh I got the big idea one year. Uh it was in the summer. I got the big idea. No, no, no, it wasn't. It was in the fall. I got the big idea of creating a bike track in there. And so I did. It was fun. It was more about the building than it was the accomplishing. I was always in the building phase. I say that to say this, I thought of all of that as my kingdom. It wasn't my kingdom. I didn't own the woods. Nor did my parents. They didn't own the field either. They just owned the patch of land where their house was. Everywhere your feet touch. But you gotta walk into it. Life has its valleys and it has its peaks. Peaks and valleys. Sometimes the valleys are so deep. And I think sometimes we forget about the enjoyment. The beauty. The beauty of being on that peak. Seems like in scripture, when we read scripture, that we forget about the peaks. We very quickly forget about the peaks. I don't know about you. Maybe I'm maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just talking to myself here. Keep a number in your back pocket. I want you to keep that number in your back pocket. In Joshua 14, Caleb says when he says he was 40 when Moses or Moshe sent him to spy out the land. And he's 85 now. He was 40 when Moshe sent him. And now he's 85. 45 years. Take away the 38 wilderness years in Deuteronomy 2, verse 14, and you're left with about seven years of war. Seven years for a gift. A gift that takes seven years to walk into is still a gift. Some of you are in the midst of what undoubtedly would be called a war in your life. It's a massive struggle. For some of you, it's sickness. For some of you, it's a sick spouse or sick children or children who are going through addiction or hurts habits or hangups. Maybe it's your own hurt habit or hang-up. And you don't feel like you're getting through it, but you keep pushing. And every morning you keep clicking in here. And on Sundays, you click in here. You drive down the road, you listen on. I don't know if you some people don't know. We're also on every major uh audio podcast platform. Platform. So all that's free, I think. I don't think it costs you anything. Anyway, sometimes when you make something free, uh it's it's unappreciated, lowers the value, but look, I I you know, I'm no genius. Not really. A gift that takes seven years to walk into is still a gift. Sometimes the hard slog, the push through, and you think, man, I don't know if I can make another step. I understand that. I a hundred percent do. How many of you here have you've experienced that? You say, Wow, I'm I'm in the middle of this, aren't I? How many of you are there right now? You're in the middle of that really tough, long slog. And you say to yourself, how long is this gonna last? How long? Will it ever end? I think if you're being honest, I have. Hey, look, the person who asked me, hey, when you gonna die? Your term, Leo, when are you gonna die? When do when do we get to the you're dying part? I know. I I thought it was funny too, kind of weird. I did chuckle when I read it. What when you when you gonna die? Right? Hey Robbie, good to see you, man. Everybody was asking about you. So you know when when the person asks that, I think they're not the first person to ask. You know, hey, when you gonna get about dying, man? I'm sorry. All I can tell you is this. When you're in the middle of a long, difficult thing, it feels like it's gonna last forever. And you feel like God is far away. Nicole says, because I've been there so many times, but looking back, it was all God because there's no way I could have done it on my own. Amen, sister. There are countless times all along the way. By the way, if you're wondering how I responded to the person's comment, um I received it through the website true wordfaith for life.com. Contact. Anyway, I just said, well, sorry to disappoint you. I'll do my best to run with scissors, lean back in my chair. You know? Anyway, when I was writing this, it just kept striking me. A gift that takes seven years to walk into is still a gift. People say, well, it's so hard to get through, to come through this other side. It's just so hard to get through to the other side. This was so difficult. Sometimes we're very quick to look at God and say, hey, this was too hard. I know I prayed for this, I wanted this so long. But it took so long. It took longer than I wanted. It took longer than I felt like I needed. Amen, Miss Tammy. When God is ready to take you home, not before he's not done yet. Amen. Amen. Good morning. Thank you. You know, you might think, well, why are you why are you hovering over this seven years thing? I mean, sometimes we you know, we we read this book. We read the book. I did a little advert for uh for this podcast. And and in that I say, you know, you haven't read the Bible. People say, I've read the Bible. People, I don't know why they say that, but they haven't read the Bible, they've just read verses of the Bible. The contiguousness. But sometimes when you're really reading, like what we're doing here, it becomes a long slog. And you look at some of the stuff that the people went through, and you think, wow, I don't think I could have gone through that. And yet they stand, and yet Israel still stands. Good morning, Justin. Welcome. John 14, 6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. Amen. Amen. This fly's just about going to drive me crazy. Miss Colleen, there's a fly up in this house. We have to spell it around our dog. Podcast puppy, F L Y. We've got to spell it because he'll go nuts. You know, Miss Nicole talks about she's been there so many times, but looking back was all gone because there's no way I could have done it on my own. How many times, how much of a reflective period have we allowed ourselves to have? I look back over, I was hurt many times, hurting the military and then post-military activities, and then hurt really, really bad in 2012. I can just tell you that this has been a long slog. The difference in my life from then till now is massive. The ramifications are enormous. But all along the way, if I stop, I breathe in a little bit, I say, okay. Where have I been? Yeah, okay, this is a hard place, but what have I come through? What have I survived? What have we made it through? They're still here, not because of us, but because of God. Joshua 11, verse 6. And the Lord said to Joshua, do not be afraid of them, for tomorrow at this time I will give over all of them, slain to Israel. You shall hamstring their horses and burn their chariots with fire.
SPEAKER_01Why burn the best weapon in the world?
SPEAKER_00Israel didn't have it. That would have been a tactical advantage if they'd have just taken their taken their weapons. Why didn't they do it? This is these are the questions I ask myself when I'm reading through scripture. Why didn't they do it? Why did God say burn chariots? They were the tanks of that time. Why? Because Israel would have started trusting those chariots rather than trusting God. Went off like a light bulb. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. When's the last time you referred to God as your God? When is the last time? I want you to hear this again. Psalm 20, verse 7. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord, our God. When's the last time you claimed God? When is the last time you claimed Jesus? Mr. Cole says, it's not about, it's not just about finishing the race, but how well we represent Christ in the process. Your journey is a testimony for all of us to lean into the Lord. Thank you. Number one. Number two, let me say this. We are always seeking the destination. Very often we miss the beautiful autumn leaves on the mountainside as we're driving through. Gotta get there. Gotta reach our destination. And we miss. Just notice them. Roll your window down a little bit. Smell the autumn air. Verse 13. Israel burned none of the cities that stood on their mounds, except Hazor alone. Archaeologists have found a thick late Bronze Age burn layer over Hazor. Palace, a palace destroyed by fire. Amnon Ben Tur, who led the excavation, credits Israel. Others credit a local revolt. Either way, the head of the kingdoms fell. Yet another archaeological find that proves the word is true. Verse 15: just as the Lord had commanded Moses, his servant, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua did. He left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded. Moses, Moshe. He left nothing undone of all that the Lord had commanded Moshe. Come on. He left nothing undone of all. He didn't remove a single word. We pick and choose in scripture. We look at things and we say, oof, I don't like that part. I'm not going to really study that part. That's why most people don't study the Old Testament. They just stay in the new and they miss out on the beauty and the foundation that is our faith. They say, My faith is so weak. I often say these, some of these new modern worship songs, some of them are amazing, but some of them are weak because they're constantly, Lord, come on, come on, give me that feeling again. Give me that feeling again. If you're chasing emotions, emotions lie. Feelings lie. And they are fleeting. He didn't remove a single word. It all matters here. Now, Joshua. Joshua made war a long time with those kings. Verse 18. Joshua made war a long time with all those kings. The Hebrew says, Yamim Rabbim, many days. Many days of war. One sentence. Seven years of mud and funerals and death folded into a single line. Yamim Rabbim. Many days. Seven years. No miracle, just many days. A long fight doesn't mean you're losing. I talked earlier about some of you are on the middle. You're in the middle. Amen. Ball striker bandito. It isn't about how you feel. It's about the book. What the book says to the believers and in the finished work of Christ. Write the word of God on your heart and you'll quit doubting. Amen. Welcome. A long fight doesn't mean you're losing. Right? The person who said, hey man, when are you going to die? You've been saying you're going to die for a while now. It's a long fight. I'm not clawing at the inside of a casket. Let me just tell you that. But I will tell you this, when it's, just like Miss Tammy said, when it's my time, it's my time. God has the on button and the off button. But I will tell you this: a long fight. If you've been in a long fight, maybe you're ill, maybe financial issues, maybe family issues, but you're staying faithful. You are not letting up on your faith. You're not letting up on focusing on Christ and keeping your focused on God and you're trusting Him for answers. Then when He gives you the answers, you do what He tells you to do, no matter what it sounds like. A long fight doesn't mean you're losing. It may mean you're inheriting. Verse 21. Joshua cuts off the Anakim, otherwise the giants. A generation earlier, the spy said, We seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers. In other words, they were so big, we seem like grasshoppers. We're so small. Sean spelled correctly says, I used to get aggravated, but now I look at the trials and tribulations as blessings and learning curves. Amen. Always something to learn. Always something to learn. Look, that's Numbers 13, verse 33. Now the giants are gone from the hill country, except the fruit a few in Gaza, Goth, and Ashdod. Verse 23. So Joshua took the whole land, and the land had rest from war. It's interesting. Shekhat means quiet. The shooting stopped. The screaming stopped. The wailing stopped. It is an Israel's Sabbath word, and we're going to come back to that if you put a pin in it. Chapter 12 is a list. 31 kings, one line each. Every one of them was once a terror. Now each is one line. Then chapter 13, verse 1. Now Joshua was old and advanced in years, and the Lord said to him, You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to possess. Thirty-one kings. And God says you're old and there's a lot left. That isn't an accusation. Listen to verse six. I myself will drive them out from before the people of Israel. Only allot the land to Israel for an inheritance. What's left undone in your life isn't left undone in his. When you're old and there's a lot left, God doesn't say. You should have finished. You should have finished. You should have finished. He doesn't say that. He says, I myself will drive them out. Your job isn't to win every battle before you die. Your job is to be faithful with what's in front of you and hand the rest to God. So here's your step for today. It's not that hard. They're never really, really hard. Write your own Joshua 12. Before dark or before sunup, wherever it is where you are. Take a piece of paper and write down at least five battles God has already brought you through. Five. Single. Five. Just take a piece of paper for real. And and take your pen. Five, five battles. Come on, you've all got five battles in there. That God has already brought you through. Amen, ball striker bandito. God left us a book, which is his word. What a precious gift. The book teaches us how to pray to him. His grace is sufficient. His word is eternal. Amen. Here's what I want you to do. I want you to write down. You get a piece of paper, get you a notebook, get you a journal. And write it down. Don't type it in your phone. If you can't write, you know, have arthritis. Just type it in. It's easier for you. But if you can, I want you to write it down. There's something about putting pen to paper. Write down at least five battles that God has already brought you through. Name them. Maybe it's the surgery. Maybe it's the layoff that you thought, oh my God, this is gonna, this is gonna do us in. How could you let this happen? And then the most beautiful blessings. Best Christmases I ever had was um in a period of massive lack in our household. But it was the best Christmas ever. The hardest time. Maybe it was the year your marriage almost ended. Maybe it was the year that you lost a best friend. Finally, that relationship that you thought would never end ended, and you thought you would end with it, but you didn't. Because then you started to realize this was an inequitable relationship here. This wasn't healthy. Maybe it was the year that you made the decision that you weren't gonna allow drama in your life. Some of you have had days and nights that you thought you wouldn't make it through, and yet you did. I want you to write it out, one line each, just one line each, not a paragraph, one line. Just like the kings in chapter 12 that I talked about, one line. Then put it where you'll see it when this fight wears down. Maybe it's the bathroom mirror. Put it on or in your Bible, put it, you know, out of the way on your dashboard of your car. Folks that are truck drivers that listen, good morning, by the way, to y'all. Husband and wife team and their little dog, they have been over-the-road truck drivers. They're a uh team. I didn't realize I think maybe I didn't realize she drove, but anyway, yeah, they that's what they do. That's the life they lead. And they listen to this show and they take post-it notes. And uh they write on them different things, different things I say, and different things that come across their mind, and they post them all over inside of their cab. They're Kenworth.
SPEAKER_01Best struck going.
SPEAKER_00Sometimes you just need to see it in your handwriting. Remember, I wrote that, and what that is is still true. And and maybe, maybe as you're writing them down, don't quit when you make the realization, hey, wait a second. Yeah, these were trials, but these were blessings. Somebody, somebody out there right now, when I said that, some of your battles were already won before you knew their names. It connected with you. You said, Whoa, wait a second. God said, That's yours, your that's your land. Before a battle ever started, seven years later. Some of us, sorry, some of us, we don't, we don't take our sandals off, we don't take our shoes, our sneakers, or whatever off. We don't take them off and stand and be still on holy ground. We don't know to sing hallelujah because we're so mired in the troubles that we forget about all those battles that God already won for us. Joshua's name in Hebrew is Jehoshua. The Lord saves. That's what it means. In Greek, Joshua and Jesus share one name, Aesus. And Hebrews 4, verse 8 uses it for Joshua. If Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. There's our word. Joshua gave the land Shekhat, quiet. He couldn't give it the rest. The first Yeshua handed out an unfinished inheritance. The second Yeshua finishes his on the cross, said one word in Greek, Titelesti. John 19, verse 30, it is accomplished. He left nothing undone. That's why Paul or Shaol can say in Philippians 1, verse 6, I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Your fight may still be long, but it's being fought inside a finished work. The long fight, oh, the fight is so long. The outcome is not in question. I want you to remember Levi, 1 Peter 2, verse 9, calls Yeshua's people a royal priesthood. Peter's borrowing words, God first spoke to Israel at Sinai in Exodus 19, verse 6. Yeshua doesn't move Israel out of that calling. Romans 11, verse 29. The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. Whatever you lose in this long fight, you don't lose your inheritance. Because he is your inheritance. Glory to God. I have for you this morning. As you might expect, a challenge and a choice. Here's the choice today. You can read the length of your fight as proof that God left. Or the way Joshua 11 reads it, many days. Many days. On the way to a gift, many days, you can keep your chariots. You can, you can, you can keep your chariots, the things you trust instead of God. Or you can let him burn them. And if you're old and there's a lot left, you can carry the weight of finishing it all. Or you can hear God say, I myself will drive them out. Choose to keep walking today. Today. Prayer isn't asking for an easy journey. It's asking for a strong back. Pray with me. Adonai Lord. Adonai Elohim. Lord of the long fight. We are tired, some of us here. You know the battles we're in. You know how long it's been. Some of us have stopped expecting it to end. Thank you that the length of our war doesn't measure the truth of your promise. Burn our chariots. Take away whatever we've been trusting instead of you. Even when it hurts to watch it go. For those of us who are old and see so much still left undone, let us hear you say, I myself will drive them out. Help us hand you what we cannot finish on our own. Be our inheritance, the way you are for Levi, and keep us walking until the land is quiet. We pray this in the name of Yeshua, who left nothing undone. Amen. Maybe the longest fight you've ever been in is with God Himself. You've been fighting, you've been battling Him, but today it can end. Yeshua already finished the work. All that's left for you to do is to come. Pray this with me. Finish it today. Deal with this today. Accomplish this today. Once and for all, Yeshua, pray this. Pray it and believe it. Yeshua, I need you. I believe you died for me and you rose from the grave. I surrender my life to you today. Forgive me, fill me, lead me. I am yours. In your name. Amen. If you prayed that today, the war between you and God is over. Type finished in the comments or the chat so we can celebrate with you and pray for you by name. Then tell one believer what you did today. I'll help you find a church. If you can't find a church where you nearby where you live, I'll help you. I've helped countless others. I'll help help you. I love doing that. You say, how in the world can you help me find a church where I live? You don't even live where I live. I have resources. Be glad to help you. And and maybe you have questions. You have questions and you say, Well, I don't know where to go for those answers. So I can tell you. Truewordfaithforlife.com, tremendous repository, number one. Number two, you can ask me. I'm happy to help you. Just go to the contact, click on the little contact deal, and we'd be happy. Happy to help you. But tell one believer around you where you live. Maybe it's your mom or your dad. Maybe it's your sibling. I don't know. And look, don't freak out if they if they don't receive it well. They look back at your life and they go, you they forget the grace that God gave them. We often do. Don't get mad at them. Don't get in an argument. Don't get in some big preachy thing. Just tell them, hey, I when the when the preacher guy with the ugly face, when he said, tell somebody, tell one believer, oh man, I thought of you. I just wanted you to know that. Thanks for listening. And then move on. Seven years. 31 kings. One line each. An old man and so much land left, but the chariots burned. And the land grew quiet. Your fight is indeed long. Anyone who tells you it's easy is not telling you the truth. Sorry. But here's the thing: your fight is long, but your God, our God, outlasts it. Someone you love is worn down by a fight that just won't end in their life. Sometimes they're the common denominator. You see, a lot of people, a lot of drama in their life. Sometimes they're addicted to the drama. And sometimes it's just a long slog. Send them this episode. Send them the link. Send it to them today. Tell them God never called the long war a failure. Never. Not one time. I want you to receive this blessing. This is a Hebrew blessing in Lashon Haggadesh, the language of God. Hebrew is the language of God. It's the language he spoke to his people, and it's the language his people spoke to him. It's what what Yeshua Hamashiach, Jesus Christ, was praying. Mid-sentence, he was taken up to be with the Father. And I want to pray it over you, not because I'm somebody special. I am not. But I want you to hear it. I want you to have it. It is a blessing. You can pray over yourself, over your family, over your future. I want you to hear it. And I want you to be blessed by it. Are you ready? Tomorrow morning, 7 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
