The Spoken Light: From Genesis to Revelation

What if the light God spoke in Genesis 1:3 is still shining?
What if it was never about photons… but Presence?
This is not poetic theory. This is Scriptural reality. In this week’s episode, we go deep—into the Hebrew, the ancient context, and the ultimate revelation of Yeshua as the Light revealed and the Light to come.
📖 Genesis 1:3 – The First Light
“And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.”
וַיֹּאמֶר אֱלֹהִים יְהִי אוֹר; וַיְהִי אוֹר
Vayomer Elohim y’hi or; vay’hi or.
This light appeared before the sun, moon, or stars were created (Genesis 1:14–19). This is no ordinary light. This is what ancient Jewish tradition calls Or Ganuz—the Primordial Light, an uncreated beam of God’s glory and order. It is the light of kavod, the presence of Hashem.
Dr. Michael Heiser taught that in the Ancient Near Eastern mind, light meant order, life, and divine proximity, while darkness meant chaos and separation from God. This first light was the divine ordering of creation itself—not something made, but something revealed.
📖 Revelation 21:23 – The Consummation of Light
“And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.”
– Revelation 21:23
This is not symbolic language—it is eschatological reality. The same kavod (glory) that revealed creation in Genesis now radiates eternally from Yeshua the Lamb.
“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
– John 8:12
In Genesis, light is the beginning.
In Revelation, light is the forever.
It’s not the same in form, but it is the same in essence—a manifestation of God's own glory, revealed through Messiah.
🔁 Light's Bookends: Genesis to Revelation
Genesis: Light comes before the sun.
Revelation: Light replaces the sun.
Genesis: Light opens creation.
Revelation: Light defines the new creation.
Genesis 1:4: God separates light from darkness.
Revelation 21:25: There is no night at all.
📖 The Word Made Light
“For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Messiah.”
– 2 Corinthians 4:6
Yeshua is not just the lamp. He is the visible radiance of the Father (Hebrews 1:3). In Him, the Or Ganuz becomes incarnate. The Light once concealed is now revealed in the person of Yeshua HaMashiach—present at creation, radiant in redemption, and eternal in the world to come.
🔥 Challenge and a Choice
Beloved, the light of God is not a metaphor. It is a person. You can walk in the artificial, flickering light of the world—or in the spoken, sustaining light of the Lamb.
Have you been living in the glare of man’s wisdom, or under the glory of Hashem’s light?
You were not made for darkness. You were made to shine.
And the light that was spoken in the beginning… is calling you to step into it now.
🙏 A Prayer for You
If you are ready to walk in the Light—forever—pray this from your heart:
“Avinu Malkeinu” (Our Father, our King),
I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your mercy and truth.
I confess that I have sinned. I turn away from my own ways and return to You in teshuvah.
I believe that Yeshua HaMashiach is the promised Messiah, the Son of the Living God.
I believe He died for my sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.
I call on Your Shem HaKadosh (Holy Name), as it is written:
“Whoever calls on the Name of Adonai shall be saved” (Joel 2:32).
Today, I surrender. Fill me with Ruach HaKodesh and lead me in Your ways.
In Yeshua’s Name, Amen.
