Have you ever watched a dragonfly dance in the golden light of dusk?
It hovers like a stained-glass miracle, then vanishes—weightless, gone. In that flicker, something sacred speaks. It is not just nature's poetry; it is Heaven's sermon. That shimmer, that silence, that sudden vanishing—it is about you. It is about me. It is about the brevity and brilliance of the life God breathes into our lungs.
This message, this moment, is about learning to live fully in the sacred now.
New Creation, Ancient Pattern
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us:
“Therefore, if anyone is united with the Messiah, he is a new creation—the old has passed; look, what has come is fresh and new!” (CJB)
Like the dragonfly, we begin unseen. Beneath the surface. In the mud of shame and survival. But we are not meant to stay there.
We are created in stages. Waiting. Crawling. Hidden. And then—one day—our wings come.
Psalm 40:2 reveals this rhythm:
“He brought me up from the roaring pit, up from the muddy ooze, and set my feet on a rock, making my footing firm.”
The water is not your forever. The shame is not your name.
The Sacred NOW!
James 4:14 reminds us:
“You don’t even know if you will be alive tomorrow! For all you are is a mist that appears for a little while and then disappears.”
Life is fragile. Life is brief. And that makes it sacred.
Ephesians 2:10 calls us to live in that sacred purpose:
“For we are of God’s making, created in union with the Messiah Yeshua for a life of good actions already prepared by God for us to do.”
You are not an accident. You are God’s craftsmanship. Each breath you take is mercy. Each moment is grace. Not for survival only—but for beauty. For purpose. For joy.
Hiding or Rising?
Too many of us are hiding.
Hiding from pain. Hiding from purpose. Hiding behind the lie that our past disqualifies us.
But Romans 8:11 says:
“If the Spirit of Him who raised Yeshua from the dead is living in you, then He who raised the Messiah will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit living in you.”
That is resurrection power. Not just for eternity. For now.
You were not made for mere existence. You were born to soar.
The Ballad of Your Becoming
Inspired after watching The Healer with Miss Colleen, I wrote a sacred ballad titled Flight of the Fragile. It has become the heartbeat of this message: (Watch Sunday, July 27, at 3 PM EDT to hear the entire moving ballad!)
"Each heartbeat is a mercy, each moment drips with grace..."
"So live, beloved, live in full... before we lose the light."
"You were not made for drifting… you were born to rise and sing."
This is not just poetry. This is prophetic truth. This is your invitation.
A Challenge and a Choice
Right now, you may still be in the mud. You may still believe you’re disqualified. But the Ruach HaKodesh says otherwise.
The Challenge:
- Stop agreeing with your past more than with your God.
- Stop waiting until you feel "ready."
- Stop letting fear define your next steps.
The Choice:
- Stay in the shadows, or rise into the light.
- Survive... or live deeply, fully, beautifully.
Will you take flight today?
Prayer of Salvation
If you're ready to place your faith in Yeshua, pray this with me:
Avinu Malkeinu (Our Father, our King),
I come before You with a humble heart, seeking Your mercy and truth.I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory. I turn away from my sins, my own ways, and I return to You in teshuvah (repentance).
I believe that Yeshua HaMashiach is the promised Messiah, the Son of the Living God. I believe that He died for my sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures (Isaiah 53, Psalm 22).
I call upon Your Shem HaKadosh (Holy Name), as it is written: “Whoever calls on the Name of Adonai shall be saved” (Joel 2:32).
Today, I surrender my life to You. Fill me with Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), and lead me in Your ways. Teach me Your Torah, write Your commandments upon my heart, and guide me in the footsteps of Messiah.
Thank You, Abba, for Your love, for salvation through Yeshua, and for making me part of Your covenant people.
In the Name of Yeshua HaMashiach, Melech HaMelachim (Jesus Christ, and King of Kings), I pray. Amen.
If you prayed that prayer and meant it, message me today. I will walk with you through your next steps.
You were born for this! You were made to fly! You were created to live in the True Word—with Faith for LIFE!
Share this message. Someone else needs to take flight too.
Shalom b’Shem Yeshua,
Shawn
